Make the right choice.

The fact that riders with as diverse of riding styles as Matthieu Crepel and Max Warbington both ride the Gnu Rider's Choice C2-PBTX Snowboard is a testament to how truly versatile this board is. Though it graduated with honors in freestyle, the Rider's Choice also has degrees in powder, pipe, pillows, and pointing it. Basically, you can rip it wherever the hell you want.

It features a deeper heelside sidecut and an asym flex to make your heelside turns as powerful and natural feeling as your toeside turns. The PBTX Enhanced Banana profile features a magical blend of rocker between the bindings and elliptical camber outside the bindings for incredible float in powder, catch-free buttering on hardpack, and response and stability at high speeds. Magne-Traction edges are serrated to slice through ice likes it's fresh corduroy, so you can lay down high-speed carves and stomp tricks on icy landings while everyone else is washing out left and right.

  • Asymmetric sidecut
  • Rocker between feet with elliptical camber towards tips
  • True twin shape with centered stance
  • Magne-Traction edges
  • Asym aspen and palonia wood core
  • Sintered base
  • UHMW sidewalls

Most versatile board I have ever used.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

What stands out the most is that switch is absolutely effortless.
~5/5 in terms of control in crud.
~5/5 in terms of pop.
One thing you must be aware of. Make sure that you have a set of stiffer bindings. This will make you enjoy the true nature of the board.

True to its name!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I recently bought this board off of a good buddy of mine and I was extremely skeptical about the hybrid camber. I have tried reverse camber snowboards and disliked how loose the boards rode. I have always preferred the stability of a traditional camber snowboard. With that said, this board is the prefect mix between the two. This board rides like a traditional camber snowboard, while at the same time is playful when you want it to be. The magne-traction edges make turning more fun than ever! It allows you to lean further into those turns and maintains the same grip in all conditions (turns ice to powder). Also this board can ride anything! Park, Rails, Powder, Groomers, and whatever you come across. I can't fathom riding any other board now. This is the truly prefect snowboard!

I concur with all aspects of this review! I'm 5'8", 165 lbs. The 154.5cm is perfect. It has the high speed stability and edge hold of a much longer board, but is playful and maneuverable in the park and doesn't washout on tail heavy landings.

Freestyle Lightweights Dream

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I originally bought this board as my beater/freestyle/instructing board and took it out the same day I rode my T Rice. I have rode quite a few boards in my day and this one is hands down one of the softest boards I have ridden! Presses and manuals are insane, first time I tried I almost tanked it out because it flexed a lot faster and more than I was anticipating. With many boards I have ridden I have found that I am over riding them so even having this board for my beater was not ideal for me. I could literally only ride rails with it and feel confident. If someone is a little lighter and doesn't need the stiffness that I need for riding they would absolutely love it! And to top it off its a Gnu, the magna traction is what has completely sucked me into the Lib Tech and Gnu world. I have had many people ride it and they have loved every minute of it.

Specs for myself are, the board was a 157 with Union Contact Pros and Vans Cirro boots. I am 5 8 and own a masonry business so I weigh in at a muscular 230.

Overall KILLER board but just to soft for me.
