When you need a board to destroy any terrain feature, the choice is clear.
Hampus Mosseson, Zach Leach and Kyle Clancy took over the Gnu Riders Choice Snowboard's technical and graphics design this year, and the results are staggering. This freestyle snowboard packs burly EISS 9 sidewalls to take hits without flinching, and the sintered 9900 base is as fast as you'll ever want. The Riders Choice Snowboard's twin-directional shape lets you charge switch on park gaps but won't hold you back when you're throwing down on fresh pow days. Best of all, this sick Gnu ride is now available with Magne-traction edges to give you amazing edge control no matter how icy the park is. *Comes in assorted base colors. We have no control over which color you'll get, but we're sure you'll love it.

We found a riders choice snowboard and...
We found a riders choice snowboard and want to know what its worth if anything it has a skeleton on back and a tomb stone on front and the number 420 1023 on back
Great Board - Can't go wrong!
Definitely an amazing board. Riding the 157.5 MagneTraction, and Mervin does it again!
Stable at high speed for a FS board, solid on landings and nice flex and pop. This board gives you some serious control on iced over moguls and groomed ice.
MagneTraction does control a different than a regular sidecut board, not bad, but different. Once you get used to it it is amazing!
GNU riders choice
lori dennis, dude i just bought this board with the murder graphic, and i want everyone to know who is maybe re-considering buying one of these boards cause of the clippings, dont worry. there is no such article on there about babies being slaughtered or whatever, and most of the big headlines would be covered by your bindings anyway. this is a sweet board, dont be put off.
This Board Kicks A$$
I absolutely love this board. Today i took it out and was riding backcountry kickers all day. Absolutely amazing. This board is very forgiving but at the same time really responsive. Ive found it to be a good board on most other parts of the mountain too.
Gnu Riders Choice
This board is awesome! I'm fairly new to snowboarding and the Riders Choice helped me improve a lot this season and gave me the confidence to try new things on each run. It also showed me how important a good board really can be. Easy to turn. Easy on jumps. I love the Riders Choice!
Took this board out for the weekend after grabbing a 161.5 non-magnetraction on clearance off the funk. Shame about not getting those bumps, they sound sweet, but couldn't beat the price.
At the moment I'm an intermediate rider and now and again I look a bit 'special' tumbling down a steep headwall. This board bailed me out countless times. Soo forgiving. First day out was 'East Coast' icy and she never gave an inch on the edges. Next day was packed powder and it was effortless linking turns and grabbing rails in the park.
And I got the 'murder' graphics. Personally I would have preferred sex to violence, but whatever. Many compliments on it. Had a laugh riding up a long lift with a type-A mom and her fifth grader after she saw it.
Mag 154.5: "turns ice into powder" IS NOT A LIE!!
Yesterday must have been one of the iciest days I've ever seen in the NY/NJ/PA area at Mt. Creek in Vernon, NJ. I'm talking maybe an inch of the fake powder with a base of ICE that made it feel like I was on a hockey rink.
LOTS of riders slipping out and a record for Mt. Creek's head trauma (my friend got a concussion and the EMT's on hand told me this)... but while all this was happening, I did not feel unsafe once all day. A few times I felt myself started to skid but a split second later the Magnetraction bit and all was well. I felt stable all day and enjoyed the slight flex it had. I went all over the mountain... through the ice, some jibs, and a few big jumps. I'm now confident through them all with this board. I would recommend it to anyone! [especially those on the ice coast]
GNU Riders choice with Magne Traction
So I purchased the Riders Choice MT whilst sat at my desk in crappy town in the north of the UK one Friday afternoon about a month ago. I stuck some Burton Mission bindings on it and then had to wait a couple of weeks to try it out and then only in an indoor snow slope - not going to the alps for another 3 weeks!! :( . So what's it like? Well, I've only used it for a total of about 9 hours so far but I can say that those wobbly Magne Traction edges are totally sick! I was riding with a couple of mates (who are both better than me), we all hit a patch of ice. One ended up on his knees, the other on his ass and I just carved a groove in the ice right past them!! It seems pretty good in the park too but I actually purchased it as a 'go anywhere' board and I don't think I'm going to be disappointed. Totally awesome board. I'll write a more detailed review when I've shown it some proper action in France in 3 weeks.
This site gave me a great service too. Like I said I ordered the board on Friday afternoon in the UK. It arrived first thing Monday morning. Now *that's* service.
Lori Dennis is whack! this board is amazing, I've ridden it on all sorts of rails and boxes, and the flex is amazing. I've also done some deep powder carves at mammoth. You shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Choosing a board shouldn't be based on the graphics. Although i think the graphics are sick.
I tried it at one of the local demos and holy crap. Is light, will easily cling to icy walls on the halfpipe, loads of pop and the grafix are awesome. I tried this in magnetraction and bought it in magnetraction which is 80 dollars to the origional price of like 408 or something. I didn't care bout the price, I just wanted the board.
I just picked up this board and it is sick. Buy it with the magnatraction.
Priced to move
I road the 157.5 Riders Choice in Magne-Traction at an end of season demo last year. This board is like nothing I've ever been on. The 7 bumps are actually contact points that grip the terrain like a steak knife. I felt added commitment to my spins and super-strong edge hold on the pipe walls. I "detuned" the edges until they were round, and still had extra-strong edge hold riding into rails. Thank you GNU for making my frontside boardslides stezzzzy!
