Swap your standard GoPro housing for the Flat Lens Housing and discover a whole new level of clarity and sharpness when you shoot HD footage underwater. GoPro redesigned its watertight housing to include a flat lens that eliminates vignetting and distortion that would typically plague movies shot from a housing with a curved front element. Use this housing for diving, snorkeling, or any sport that takes you below the surface of the water.

  • Use of flat lens eliminates the image softness that a curved lens can cause underwater
  • Tinted finish also helps to control exposure in variable underwater light
  • Flat lens uses offset mount so you can still see the LCD menu panel on your camera
  • Protective lens cover is designed specifically to fit over the large, flat lens and includes tether so it won't float away
  • Compatible with all GoPro HD Hero cameras

Better than the original housing I think

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This flat lens housing is made for the water but does equally as well out of the water! The image is super sharp and it is harder to scratch the lens. The only downside is the you can only see half of your display and you can't see the red light in the front of your camera.
