I'm not sure what GoPro did to this battery but they updated it for the HERO2. They might have added more juice? I would suggest buying a few of these since the HERO2 goes through batteries quicker than the HERO.

It is always necessary to carry extra batteries with any device you have. Be sure to power off your camera on the lifts or when not in use, but it you forget too don't worry! You have an extra!
