I have had this mount for about 1 year now and have still only used it on my kite. It work great! Just make sure you have it on there so the SD card is facing away from the leading edge so when you crash the kite the force of impact doesn't spit out the SD card. That sucks because you can't record when your SD card isn't all the way in the camera! ;)

Hey Roman,
It is made specifically for the HD Hero. What the tech specs are saying is it will not work with the older, non-HD version.

I use this mount on my Kite while Kiteboarding on the water and the snow and I love it! It mounts to the center strut near the leading edge, not the leading edge itself like the description said. Keep in mind you will have to flip the video vertically and horizontally because most of the time the camera will either be upside down or right side up.
