I took 3 laps in the Park trying to ride with the GoPro on a stick. It worked good except I should have extended the stick out more to get a better shot. Sorry I'm also doing the same tricks over and over, but it is a little awkward snowboarding with a camera on a stick. The backflip looks cool though!
THIS IS THE BEST CAMERA IN THE WORLD FOR THE MONEY YOU SPEND ON IT. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ALL. STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING RIGHT NOW AND BUY THIS CAMERA!!!!
This camera is bomb proof. Water, sand, snow, and dummy proof. Cant miss a shoot with the mega wide lens. Great picture quality, 1080p makes you look pro. Tested in 18 degrees mountain conditions. Took it off the high dive at the local pool. Comes with a none water proof back door, allows camera to pick up more sound. Making this camera great for every day life recorder.
Im pretty sure its just the capabilities of the camera. The 960 cant do the really top end quality stuff that the Hero can e.g. can't record at 60 fps at 1080p. Basically, its the little brother. Still good, but not as complete a camera.
This is a great all around camera and the resolution looks amazing on it. It can be easily used to follow cam your bros in the park or you can mount it on your helmet and get a sick first person view of your favorite mountain bike trail. All around great, reliable camera that won't easily break (I've fallen with the camera and have seen it drop 10+ feet and it still works fine).
This is the best camera, the quality is great and it is pretty light weight also. Very easy to use and to learn. Ans r=there are tons of add-on equipment
I do alot of snowboarding at night, there are lights on the mountain, How does the camera do when filming in low light settings? if somebody could send me a video link that would be appreciated.
I was quite surprised at the quality of the video from this cam especially for the price.
it actually does deliver the resolution and the frame rates as advertised. Of all the video settings, i usually end up only sampling in mode 3 because it is plenty good enough and makes more room on the sd card. I have an old class 2 card and it works fine at this setting.
i own a POV.1 camera as well. the gopro def takes the cake with video quality and simplicity in its package.
i have not tested the water-proofness of the case yet, but it seems very solid. the quick release is great as well.

Sup Zach, There is not a screen on the back. Its a basic point and shoot camera. But the Mounts for it are so stable that it makes shooting quick and easy. Whether its the Helmet mount. The head mount. Or the Chest mount. The Camera catches everything that you see in your Vision. Even Peripherals. I Still have to figure out sound on it. Because with the casing it is quite quiet. But i have not really had too much time to mess with it. Here is a link of a basic run with the head mount. http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=487909422011
Whats up Shredders. I got this camera for Christmas. Slick, Slick, Slick. Ive taken it out snowboarding multiple times. Still need to figure out all of the stuff on it. But , it is very east to use. Not only is it a Video Camera. Go ahead and take a snapshot of your favorite jump. Or take 3 pictures a second. It has it all, in a camera that doesnt even way a half a pound. I plan on using this not only for snowboarding, but also for dirtbiking. I want to take it wakeboarding, but i need to research how waterproof the casing is. Ive seen videos of people using it surfing. but just to be safe. Snag one of these up if you have the money, No regrets. SICK!!!!!
Would definitely recommend to anyone for any kind of outdoor action sports, I've already taken it snowboarding on two seperate trips on top of other usage. It's taken the beatings like a pro and the case still looks like it just came out of the box. Definitely one of the best purchases I've made this year.
it works really good because it stays on good but it sounds like it would suck and its really clear +it doesnt brake easily if u reck but it does bother ur head if u shake ur head a lil bit
simply amazing! are the words i chose to explain this camera. I usually rock it on my head with the head strap THAT IT COMES WITH! i always ask my bros if the light is blinking so all my vids start with someone pulling a stupid face MUHAHAHAHAHA!
it works great with macs. I have a 13 inch 2.4ghz 4 gb of ram 500gb hard drive and it was boging down a little bit but once i got it imported and going then it was fine.
I love this camera. i used it to make some cliff jumping and pool edits as well as a spring snowboarding edit. The camera is super good qualtiy and tough. But beware. i mounted mine to the nose of my snowboard and rolled through the park at mamoth. When I landed one of their 40 footers, the adhesive came off and the plastic extention shattered. The camera was fine though. Its the perfect camera for anything and will take any blows that are thrown at it
