The Habitat Basin is a super unique and versatile shoe.
This is a team choice for all the travel that they do.
Cool style - fashioned after a traditional, old school climber/trail runner.
This one is part of Habitat's Frost Protection line.
Habitat's Frost Protection line are classic skate shoes modified to endure cold, wet, snowy, and slushy climates, while still maintaining the basic requirements of a skate shoe.
Each Frost Protection style has a gusseted tongue, wool lining, and water resistant suede to keep your feet warm and dry without having to wear some clunky hiking boot.
Keep your feet dry and your style in tact.

These are a pretty cool shoe especially for the sale price. They have a thin, canvas body which makes them feel like Sanuks or slippers. Don't be fooled by the video below, the cement and chocolate black colors do not have the frost protection feature, and are not water proof. The main difference is that the tongue is not gusseted on these colors. However, they are still very stylish and comfortable.

These shoes by no mean water proof, but they do resist water and it will bead up and fall off. This doesn't mean you can stick you foot in the creek and expect to stay dry, but they hold up well in the rain and when walking through dewy fields! I just wish they had a bit more padding...
