I really don't undestand what do they mean sayng 1/2 chest! How should i measure it?

Hey Alex,

It means those measurements are just the flat garment rather than circumference. So if the 1/2 chest measurement is 23", the actual circumference would be 46". Again, these are measurements of the actual garment, not what your measurements need to be in order for it to fit. Hope that makes sense.

Super comfy, I wear large size t shirts but can slip into a medium and I ordered a large hoodlamb, fits great. I was looking for a onestopshop for when it gets cold, sometimes i dont want to have to deal with layers, this garment solves all those problems for me. I live in coastal central California so, adjust your climate expectations as necessary, a larger coat for layering in super cold places might be with considering. It was like 40F and dropping last evening, took my dog for a walk, felt great. No sunglasses pocket like earlier versions, my housemate has one...Tho...mine has thumb holes on the sleeve cuffs, he was jealous. No complaints, until our next heat wave and I have to take it off. Shi.

Since buying this jacket I haven't stopped wearing it for long at all. I am completely satisfied with nearly ever detail.
The materials are both durable and insulate well. I love the fur on the inside, the magnetic arm pocket (pocket connoisseurs look out!), the cool drawstrings, etc. Everything is purposefully designed and looks pretty great to boot.

Admittedly the jacket is slightly on the larger side, but so far no complaints there. Just keep in mind you will feel well sheltered by this jacket's bulk. Maybe not for those who want a lighter jacket to wear.

I have also taken a nap in the jacket and it was pure, warm, cozy bliss.

I have to start with the fact that I saw this jacket for the first time many years ago. I was in love, but could not part with the $300+ for a jacket when I lived in socal. I live in norcal now where a good jacket is worth its weight in gold. That is what led me to purchase it this year. However, it is NOT the jacket that I fell in love with so many years ago. Production has changed and the inside fur is made from a different material or different supplier, the secret pockets are fewer and the rolling paper pocket is not where I remember it being. Aside from that, the jacket is great. It is a good cut for my body shape(I'm short, not freak show short, but it doesn't fit huge and make me look like a munchkin like some jackets can), super warm, amazingly comfy, and best fo all I got it for like $100 off the list price for some damn reason. Zipper was kinda janky when I first tried it, but has sorted itself out and I have no issues now. Is this the best jacket on the face of the earth, probably not, but is pretty fucking dope? Yes it certainly is.

My measurements are about 37" (bust) 31" (waist) 40" (hips). I'm 5'3". I usually wear sz 7/8. I would like to comfortably fit a sweater under the jacket. Would medium work?

hoping someone can help.. gonna order one of these, but totally unsure of what size.. see conflicting reviews/sizing charts etc, everywhere i look. basically im around 5'8"/9".. 175lbs.. only about 11% body fat so id guess im like a medium build or so.. basically an athletic build, but im vegan so im not bulky. thats a lot of info haha.. anyway, im thinking large.. want it to have a little room, not tight.. also dont want it big and baggy like im hustlin caprisuns on the corner or front and grunt.. a sophisticated pimp. is large what im going for?

Hey Jeremy, this jacket is sized generously. I would say go with your normal jacket size, or if you're in between size down. I'm 6 feet tall and 150 lbs (different body type than you) and the large fit me on the loose side.

The sizing chart's handy. Click it above the green Add To Cart button and measure yourself up. Most important measurements would be chest and sleeve length.

Also, we've got a 100% guaranteed exchange/return policy. So you can either order two and return one, or order one and exchange it for another if you choose. Either way you'll be stoked. Enjoy, the HH jackets are awesome.

Do the sleeves have the same lining? Is the shell a tight weave that wind can't go through?

Sleeves to have the same lining. There is an elastic cuff at the base which is not pictured and also doesn't show when one is wearing it.

As far as wind getting through, I think this jacket is great at blocking the wind. I live in the Chicago area and this jacket holds up very well .

When I first tried this jacket on I was ecstatic. It fit great and looked better than I had expected. The only disappointment was that I thought this jacket was 100% natural fiber (hemp and cotton). This web site is a little misleading. If you look at the "Material" description it reads: "[shell], 55% hemp, 45% organic cotton; [lining], 20% hemp satifur ".

Maybe I should have researched more on what "Hemp Satifur" is but the lining is actually made up of the following: 20% Hemp, 35% recycled PET, 45% acrylic satifur.

I know it's almost impossible to find, but I though I had found a plastic free jacket with no synthetic material.

This jacket was probably one of the best purchases I have ever made. Super crafty design, warm and fits perfect! It is so nice it takes a bit to soak in.

Ordered on a Sunday and it was at my doorstep early on Tuesday. Waaaay fast shipping and the price is right! Thanks so much.

- Also, for those trying to figure out their size, I am 6 ft 190 lbs built and the Large is a perfect size. Hope it helps.

There is no logo on the back of the jacket. There is on the Sea Shepherd version (the Sea Shepherd logo is huge), but that is a different jacket.

I'd probably put you in the XXL. It's a pretty generously sized coat, so depending on how big or small your upper body is, you may be able to fit into the XL.

I'm 5"7, 150. I'd say BC/DF's listed sizes for the Hemp Hoodlamb Classic are misleading. I normally wear a jacket in large, which is my size. The Hoodlamb is generously cut. It feels right in medium, just a perfect fit. If I wanted it baggier and looser fitting, I would go up a size to large. With this brand, wear it one size down from your usual jacket size.
