I was looking for a jacket that would last, as I don't see the point in having to spend money on a jacket every year. This is exactly what I was looking for. It's made of hemp, organic cotton and lamb and is the most comfortable and warm jacket I've ever had. The only downfall with this jacket is that the thumb holes in the cuffs are not in a good position, making the coat uncomfortable when you put your thumbs in the holes. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing! All of my friends want this coat since they've seen mine. Please don't stop selling them!
Does this jacket break in at all and get a little less "stiff"?
Does this jacket break in at all and get a little less "stiff"? I just got mine in the mail and despite buying an XL the arms are just a bit short/restrictive. The body is actually nearly too big I just have long arms. If the material loosens up a bit it feels like the arms should be OK. I really like the jacket but currently its a little uncomfy to bend my arms. Anyone know if it will break in?

I am only 5'2", ordered the small and I find the arms to be short, to the point that the thumb holes are uncomfortable when my arms are fully extended. That material is regular sweatshirt material so I assume it will stretch with time but if you are a person of normal height I would think it would be more an issue and the description is not correct.
Besides that, the jacket is awesome and exactly what I was looking for, with lots of nice features like a drawstring waist and zippers on the side to adjust fit. I live in Portland, OR and I am cold all winter because of the damp. I could also see myself wearing this at the mountain on those rare cold blue bird days,

I live in Portland as well and Im looking to find a place that sells them here in Portland because I wanted to try it on. Also are they really heavy? That was a complaint I heard from a guy who had one years ago.

This jacket rocks. Warmer than my snowboarding jacket (even though hemp and water don't mix). These jackets tend to be on the pricey side, but worth every cent. You get what you pay for. With both this jacket and my summer "bomber" style Hoodlamb, people always ask where I got it.
