it depends on your body type. I'm about 5 11 and around the same weight. The jacket i have now is a large because i have longer arms and a broad back/chest, but its really loose around my abdomen/waist. Mediums tend to either have too short of sleeves or are a little to tight around my chest. hope that helps in some way
