Cover the basics.
The Jones Snowboards 18L Pack is the ideal size for afternoon sidecountry missions or quick early-morning tours. The just-right volume easily carries your avy gear, water, snacks, and an extra layer—all in a lightweight, streamlined design that won't flop around or throw you off balance when riding.
Side and vertical carry straps allow you to hoist your board while it's split in touring mode or as a solid board depending on what the mission demands. An insulated hydration sleeve keeps your precious water supply from freezing on the hike up, and multiple avy tool slots provide quick access to life-saving gear in the event of an avalanche. Thermo-molded neoprene back padding ensures comfort during the hike, and at just over two pounds, you'll hardly even notice your pack on the way down.

Can this do horizontal board carry? Both...
Can this do horizontal board carry? Both 18L and 30L do not mention it but i remember watching Jeremy Jones video where he was showing 30L bag and he said it can do horizontal.
A Great Daypack
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share
My friend has put this through the wringer and he loves it. Every time we go on trips together, he's got everything he needs for the day in a compact, lightweight and sturdy bag. We had decided to buy this for another friend as a gift, but he unfortunately already bought one! This pack is the perfect size for day trips with all the right pockets and comfort you could ask for - not to mention how light this is! The build feels very high quality and I can easily see this lasting 5+ years of hard seasonal use. It looks great, feels great, and was clearly designed from actual users - what more could one ask? Unfortunately I am returning since I already have a day pack, but I am so jealous to return it.
Jones Snowboards 18L Pack is the ideal
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Firstly all that stated in the description is true, yes, it is more expensive than others, but it is worth every penny paid. This pack is the ideal for afternoon sidecountry missions or quick early-morning tours.
