Jones Snowboards The Mountain Twin Snowboard - 2012

If your idea of a terrain park involves natural gullies, windlips, rollers, and pillow lines, the Jones Mountain Twin Snowboard is your new all-mountain freestyle machine for resort riding or backcountry booter sessions. The directional twin shape smooths out switch takeoffs and landings, while the CamRock hybrid-camber shape balances a floaty, forgiving feel with plenty of control and pop between your feet.

  • Twin Camrock hybrid shape uses camber underfoot for stability and edge grip, with rocker zones in the tip and tail for float and catch-free landings
  • Carbon additives improve energy transfer and dampen the ride
  • Film topsheet reduces weight and environmental impact without compromising durability
  • FSC-certified full wood core is light, strong, and sustainably farmed
  • Mellow Magne-Traction edge design adds contact points for improved grip, while still letting you finesse your turns
  • Beefed-up edges are 250% stronger than traditional edge layups to withstand serious impacts without blowing out
  • Sintered base for durability and speed, with alternating color patterns to reduce wasted materials

Bottom Line: Ride everything from sidecountry lines to springtime slush with speed and style.

I am an 5'11", 130lb female who rides primarily backcountry and tight trees. My last board was a VERY stiff 154 and I did not enjoy it. Would this board be too wide or too stiff for me as a female?

I do not think it will be too stiff. This board is fairly soft compared to most other boards in its category. I'm 6' and 155 lbs and I ride the 159 and it is still fun and playful. I think for a all mountain board for someone that rides backcountry and the trees, this board will be a good fun flex for you. As far as width, without knowing your boot size, its a tough call. If you have tiny feet, might want to stick with a women's board, but if they aren't super mini, you'll probably be just fine. Hope that helps.

This board rips!

Rides like a larger board in pow with the nice shovel nose which works like a snowplow through deep snow. Also has the control of a shorter board, totally rips and you will not be disappointed with this board. Been riding it all season long in both hardpack and blower pow days!

2 seasons of Jones!

I've rocked this board for 2 seasons now and there have been some minor improvements from last year. It has a slight setback for riding pow now which really helps increase float. The materials are top notch and the edges are more impact resistant this year. The Mtn. Twin performs all over the mountain, it's just not for buddering. If you love the mountain more than the park, I highly reccomend this board.

I have to agree that this board is killer. Hauls ass and never leaves me feeling uncertain. Only thing is, I find it butters just fine. just the right amount of flex to be forgiving, but stiff enough for icy days at Whiteface.
