K2 Cinch CTX Snowboard Binding - 2009

If there was an award for the binding with the most features, the K2 Cinch CTX would win hands-down. This is the perfect binding for the guy who likes stuff with a lot of stuff. The Cinch CTX combines a comfortable, damp ride with stiff, responsive performance.

  • Cinch technology makes entering and exiting the binding super quick and easy while maintaining the performance of strap bindings
  • Chatter and impact management are handled by Harshmellow, a synthetic compound strategically placed in K2 boards, boots, and bindings to dampen vibration
  • C2 aluminum baseplates add stiffness and light weight for quick response
  • Lite-Speed aluminum ratchets are light and durable
  • Offset mounting discs offer the greatest number of positioning possibilities

Bottom Line: They would have included the kitchen sink, it just didn't make much sense.

Great Binding

I had the old CTS and these were a major upgrade being lighter and better than the old ones, I would recommended these and future models.

What makes these worth the extra $90 over the CTS?

the ctx are way lighter and constructed with carbon rails instead of plastic. i have the cts and love em but i have had problems. the guides for the cables have snapped on the back a few times and i broke one of the side rails. on the good side i'm about 280 lbs. so i'm putting them through a lot and k2 has had a no questions asked attitude about replacing parts. all they need is address and what part you need. they didn't even ask about warranty. if you got the extra cash and have alotta weight pushing these bindings or care about a lighter ride i'd bump up to ctx but if not the cts work great. kinda fun to strap in on the chair and ride right off to.

On my birhtday first day, 2nd run i broke the cable guide on my front binding up to then these worked great. I still used them for a half a day afterwards but i would not recommend getting them unless u want $300 of disappointment .

Horrible

I have ridden two sets of these and both base plates broke. These are a horrible binding. I went with Flow NXT, much happier.
