K2 Snowboards Parkstar Snowboard - 2011
Don't let the name fool you, sure the K2 Parkstar Snowboard slays the park, but it loves to have freestyle fun pretty much anywhere else you point it. Equipped with a Jib Rocker shape for playful poppiness, weight-shaving Hybritaper technology, and a 4000 sintered base, this crazy freestyler is just as fast as it is fun.
- Jib Rocker profile is 80% flat with 20% rocker by the contact points to eliminate edge hook and offer a loose and forgiving ride
- Hybritaper gradually thins out the core of the board towards the nose and tail to reduce swing weight
- Carbon Web places carbon strands under the bindings to deliver sensitive response and increased ollie-power
- 4000 Sintered base is durable, absorbs and retains wax superbly, and is the fastest natural base material available
Bottom Line: Poppiness, not floppiness.

The Parkstar kills it! I switched to this board based on a friends recommendation and could not be happier. I was previously riding a 2010 Burton Hero and MAN am I glad I switched! The 80% flat base actually lets you TURN and hold an edge with confidence, seriously you can lay it down on this board. The jib rocker also makes it very forgiving! Consistent flex and twin shape kills it in both directions. The Parkstar is super responsive to every input yet not catchy or edgy. The name does it no justice, it should be called the mountain star. For the record I had previously ridden Burton for the past 10 years and I likely won't be back there for a while!
