Sad

I have had two pairs of these and both times the boa knob snapped off in less than 5 uses. Beware.

Love it!

I bought this boot with the speed lace system and wasn't a fan but I loved the comfort and stiffness this boot provided. I tried on several pair at Backcountry after returning the speed lace pair and went with these. Some of the boots I tried on were twice as much as these and still not a comfortable. I am a 9.5 in street shoes and got a 9.5.

Great Boots

  • Gender: Male

These boots are very comfortable and have just the right amount of flex. I was worried they would be too stiff for park, but they are not. The Darko's are a great all mountain boot and the Boa system has a guarantee for the lifetieme of the boot if you're concerned about it's durability. Frankly, I just use it to get laced up, then I undo the dial.

The best yet

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have skinny feet, so even though I buy the appropriate size, there is usually too much volume in most boots. These are the exception. The internal BOA system makes them super snug and responsive. All in all, of the 5 different pairs of boots I tried last season, these are the best. Footprint isn't as small as Burton, but the performance more than makes up for it.

Durable and comfortable with a great lacing system combo.

come to the "Darko"-side

this is an amazing boot from K2. The darko has been in K2's line for a few seasons now and each year it getts better. For this season K2 switched their internal BOA Conda system of steel cable to a nylon compsite material call "Spectra." The idea is that the specrat lace has a more traditional feel which prefectly ompliments the Darkos' Mid level flex.

This is a great boot for a mid-level to advanced-level rider looking for just the right amount a flex without being to soft. Packed with extra features like Harshmellow dampening and internal BOA Conda, you cant go wrong. Great Boot!
