K2 Snowboards Fastplant Snowboard - 2010

The Fastplant Snowboard features K2’s all-new Bambooyah core for a lightweight, snappy ride that’s damn near impossible to break. Thanks to the Jib Rocker shape and Matrix II torsion forks, the Fastplant delivers the pop you need to flow the jump line, and the flex you need to style out presses on the dancefloor box.

  • Jib Rocker reverse-camber shape is 80% flat with rocker in tip & tail for a catch-free ride that still maintains pop
  • Matrix II torsion forks place V-shaped carbon stringers in tip & tail for improved edge control and snap
  • Bambooyah core features a five-year warranty against breakage
  • ICG 20 carbon/fiberglass weave dials in the flex for springy ollies
  • Sintered 4000 base helps you cruise past your homies in the flats

Bottom Line: You’ll likely break at least one bone before you break this board. (Here, we’ll knock on wood for you.)

this board rules! demoed it out at high cascade this summer and fell in love. i'm 5'6 140 and riding the 151. great stability and awesome on jumps and rails. i prefer a softer binding with this board it compliments the board well. bamboo core with a 5 year warranty?! sign me up i broke a couple weapons and i moved on to an all around park run hitting large kickers and rails and this board does it all with style

I ride all mountain but love the playfulness of park boards. How does this thing handle speed and chop?

Ben whatever is obviously an idiot. THe fastplant is probably the best all-around park board ever. It's not reverse cambered it's jib rocker which is flat between binding and slight reverse outside the bindings. Of course it's not good for hard carves its a park specific deck. REad my review here http://buzz.snow.com/channels/buzz_channels/snow-squad/b/weblog/archive/2011/02/03/2010-2011-k2-fastplant.aspx
the fastplant is THE deck if you want to advance your park riding. I have also ridden my 151 on many 9"+ powder days being 5'9" and 160lbs.

vary poorly it was a jib rocker witch makes it vary unstable at high speeds and it is terrible for hard carves and it is way to soft to take in to any powder....... hope that helped

Are Union flite bindings good for this board? and will L/XL fit

Are Union flite bindings good for this board? and will L/XL fit on waist?

Yeah that will work if you want it for strictly park as you would have a soft binding on a soft board. Waist should be fine, 250 is kind of a mid-wide.

I have owned many K2s and ridden all from their line and this board is by far my favorite. I tested this board all around brighton, the Bird, snowbasin, park city and even powder mountain and it killed it. From great jib flex to powering through 20'+ cliff drops and big kickers. This board spins well, carves great and pops like balloons!

How is the flex in this board as compared to some of K2's other offerings? Like as compared to the Parkstar/Believer?

the board is pretty soft. definitely not as soft as a weapon but perfect for an all around park board. im 5'6 140 lbs and i have the 151. i can nose and tail press with the board no problem and it's very playful all around.

disagree, with the bambooyah tech this board will not break at all, this board has jib rocker tech making the camber change and giving it more pop and better butters, making the fastplant a way better board than believer

this board basically replaced the jibpan. I think it was a smart move by k2. they already have regular park boards being the world wide weapon rocker, the parkstar, and the darkstar holds it's own. This board is INDESRTUCTABLE. Basically every1 who says aww it's too expensive.... wahh.... you need to get out. This board will last many seasons longer than any other board you find for 80 bucks less. my neighbor/ best friend had the new fastplant and ive never seen anything like it. we got 7 inches of early snow in nothern vermont so he set up a jib in his back yard. basically a jump off his back porch about 8 feet down to a single barrel rail. he landed flat based in a backside boardslide and i was cringing thinking it was gunna snap his board in half. I wouldn't do that with my darkstar.... i said umm why would u do that with ur brand new board. he said cuzz they dont break. then he leaned it up againt the wall and ran as fast as he could and jump onto the middle of it and it flexed so much that i had to close my eyes then poped back out and sprung him 3 feet in the air. after that, I say look no farther BambOOYah!
