K2 Snowboards Hyak Backpack - 2012

Named after the Hyak wilderness area just outside of Snoqualamie Pass in Washington, the K2 Hyak Backpack can hold everything you need for a day of backcountry touring with streamlined organization. In fact, it is not really a coincidence that 'hyak' is Chinook for 'swift', nor is this pack a coincidence at all—K2 spent three years developing and testing the Hyak before it felt confident to release it. Undoubtedly, this backcountry wonder pack is ready for powder as much as you are.

  • SHoulder strap load-lifter straps ensure carrying comfort
  • Two-way board mounting securely carries your snowboard vertically for skinning or boot-packing in as well as horizontally for snowmobiling in
  • Insulated hydration sleeve keeps the water in your hydration bladder from freezing
  • Dedicated storage for shovel, shovel handle, and probe included
  • Collapsible pole attachment loops adjust to secure your collapsible splitboard poles for hiking in (we recommend the K2 Speed Link Pole )
  • Hip pocket on waist belt conveniently carries camera, compass, snacks, or other small items
  • Duraflex buckles resist breakage and use a glove-friendly design for opening and closing
  • Tuck and Roll straps roll up excess strap length for a streamlined look and snag-free functionality
  • The K2 Hyak Backpack measures 22 x 11 x 5in

Bottom Line: The new face of backcountry day tripping.
