Description

Don’t let your oversized boots hold you back in the park.

Toe-drag taking you out of the picture during park sessions? Hop on K2’s Parkstar Wide Snowboard and throw down without fear. The Jib Rocker twin shape helps you stomp more tricks than you ever thought possible.
  • Jib Rocker shape is 80% flat with a reverse-camber tip and tail to reduce hang-ups yet maintain edge control
  • V-shaped Matrix I carbon stringers improve edge control and add extra pop in the tip and tail
  • HyperProgressive construction uses larger sidecut radii at contact points for more forgiving landings in either direction

hey
is this board easy to press on round down bars, but still good on big jumps,
im 5'10" and 125lbs
good for pressing
and easy to press down rails

Responded on

Yeah, it has a pretty flat base with just the tip and tail being rockered- it will press really well and since it's not all the way reverse camber, it will still have great pop not not feel like a noodle

i agree with the guy below me

Great board to ride so fun. BUT NOT DURABLE the siding cracked in on the 5th day riding it for absolutely no reason. And K2 is not letting me warranty it.

Don't let the flat camber scare you away.

If you're looking for an alternative to the park pickle and the skate banana, this one stands up to the challenge. This board is a ripper, like it's predecessors all have been. Like it's name says, it's wheelhouse is the park, boxes and rails, pipe, and anything else you might like to jib off of.

As for the technical stuff:
- The Jib Rocker seems like a weird idea at first, but after you ride it you'll see that it seems to get the job done. There's still plenty of pop for that ollie over the slow sign -- make sure to mention that to anyone who tries to tell you otherwise. She's definitely a flexible board, but that's what you want out of a park board.
- I have no idea what the V-Shaped Matrix carbon whatever-its-called is supposed to do, but tricky gimmicks are apparently needed to sell snowboards these days, so that's fine.
- HyperProgressive construction isn't going to save your ass if you happen to not set 'er down the right way, so don't expect any miracles there either. You will still have to land your own tricks.

But this ain't no one-trick park pony. You can pretty much rip this thing anywhere on the mountain. There's no sidecut waves or extra contact points, so you'll have to look elsewhere if you want that kind of flostam. Works well in the deep stuff too, but remember the float isn't as good as a full reverse board, so you'll probably still need to keep the old 162 around.

Bottom line: you'll probably end up cheating on your other boards.

Don't let the flat camber scare you away.

Great Board, not so great construction.

I absolutely love the feel of this board. Stiff enough to charge the big jumps in the park and cut through the chop on the slopes. Soft enough to butter and have fun with everywhere else. The only problem is the construction, after just five times out the top sheet is starting to flake off and chip at the tip and top. This is happening in areas with no impact or reasons that would cause the top sheet to flake. I will be contacting K2 about the warranty.

is this as good as they say? in ur guys opinion whats better the k2 parkster or rome agent 2010 positive camber board?

Responded on

well im a big Rome fan so im going to have to say the agent but this board isn't bad either it is a medium flex board that is good on jumps and rails and is really a solid board for all around park...it can handle a little powder every now and again.... but if you want a board that can be in the park one day and in the back country in 5 feet of the good stuff the next id go with the Agent for sure it is amazing in and out of the park....... hoped that helped

Love Hate Relationship

LOVE THIS BOARD! hate the graphics. I had last years parkstar and everything about it was sick. Nice pop, perfect amount of flex, awesum slopestyle board. You can spin 60ft jumps and land without buttering out another 3 or 5. Rails are way decent with the jib rocker. Great pop n lock onto rails n any other jibs. All in all....this is the Megan Fox of snowboards.
