All-mountain shredding for the big foot on a budget.
So you're ready for a board that can take on the entire mountain, but your bank account says otherwise. Luckily for you there's the K2 Raygun Wide Snowboard. This versatile deck is soft enough for the terrain park, yet capable of charging everywhere from icy groomers to powdery tree runs, and its wide waist eliminates toe drag for riders with bigger boots.
The Raygun starts with K2's All Terrain baseline profile. This mostly flat profile employs slightly higher, longer rocker at the the tip than the tail to give the Raygun a loose buttery feel while maintaining responsive edge control and pop. The directional shape uses K2's All Terrain Hyper Progressive sidecut, with an infinite number of turn radii that progress from mellow at the tips to aggressive between the bindings. The result is a predictable feel with tons of control, but with mellow, non-hooking contact points at the tip and tail. Construction is K2's patented Hybritech, which uses sidewalls along the running surface that flow into the tip and tail for durability, optimized turn initiation, and reduced swing weight.
The W1 core is made up of one type of renewable wood, strategically chosen to increase strength, reduce weight, and dampen vibrations. A durable sintered base maintains speed and resists damage. Biax glass keeps the flex soft and forgiving, and a slightly set-back stance helps it float in powder so you can easily stay on top of the deep stuff.
