K2 created the World Wide Weapon Snowboard to evolve street and park jibbing, and the WWW's reputation stands as a favorite jib board for anyone looking to hold it down in the park or the street.
Jib Rocker profile was built to lock, press, and stomp with a surface that's 80% flat (mid-section) and 20% rocker (nose and tail)
Jib Tip construction allows you to size down 5cm from your normal size, and it makes buttering, pressing, and jumping easier while never losing stability
Die-cut P-Tex top sheet increases durability, dampens the overall ride, and stands out with super-sharp graphics
2000 extruded base is ready to take some hits from rails, walls, and rocks and is easy (and inexpensive) to repair
This board rides really stable for being so short. A longer effective edge makes riding the whole mountain a lot more fun. If you want a board that will take the beating that the park rails dish out and soft enough to butter everything in your path this is the one.
Dogfunk.com knows that no one wants the used-car-salesman experience, so we decided to show you the other guys prices in an effort to keep your shopping experience as informed as possible. How do u like this board? Is it good for park? Do the nose and tail with thee unusual shape make a difference? Do u recremend this snowboard does it brake/fall apart? Can it take hits?
im a jibber out of the midwest and im 5 11 and weigh about 135 pounds. right now im riding a 148cm board, i need to upgrade... would a 151cm be right? im asking because i heard you are suppose to downsize with the World Wide Weapon.
this things is so fun! ptex topsheet is so durable and gives this board a great flex and feel underfoot! so buttery and fun all over the mtn but amazing on rails. Jib-Tip allows you to down size 5cm from your original size too!
I weigh about 140.lbs - 5'7'' and given I am only going to be using this board in the park, I was wondering if I could get away with riding a 147 or a 148w? mind you my boot size is a right in-between width wise so i could go either way.
I would definitely go with the 148w. I like having a stable platform under my feet in the park and the wider width will give that to you. Also won't have to worry about toe drag if you end up going with different boots that might have a bigger profile or something. That will be a super sick park set-up.
So, I'm your typical park rat that laps park all day, every day (with the exception of the resort I ride at gets hammered with 2-3 feet of snow, which leads me to my first question, will this hold out on me when i'm shredding pow? now to my next question, I wear a size 10 boot or so, and i'm about 5' 8", but I'm only 115 pounds, so i'm pretty much what you'd call a "beanpole" so, i have a problem of finding a board that is in my weight category and height category, will a size 10 boot fit on a regular sized board? and if not, do you know of any boards that are wide but in my weight class and size class AND won't break the bank? next question, while i do a lot of rail stuff, I also like cruising around, sending it on medium sized jumps (my definition of medium sized is 20-35 feet) and going relatively fast will this board be responsive enough for that stuff? If anybody could answer any of these questions, that would be great
The K2 World Wide Weapon or WWW for short is the original park rats jib noodle. The World Wide Weapons famous blunted tips give it a short board length and comparatively long effective edge a great combination for improving board nimbleness and reducing swing weight whilst maintaining a reasonable amount of edge hold. The soft flex and reverse camber of the WWW makes pressing and buttering so easy its got to be cheating and make it surprisingly fun for messing about in the pow. Not a board you want to aim up an icy pipe wall or point down a gnarly couloir and i definitely wouldnt recommend it to an all-mountain rider but a good choice for those addicted to rail and jib riding.
The Weapon has been pushing rider creativity on jibs for over a decade. Originally designed by the Robot Food era K2 team, the Weapon was created as a platform for progression and originality. A style carried on by rider like Nick Dirks and Jake Kuzyk.
Jib Rocker - THE FREESTYLE SOLUTION:
