L1 Americana Pant - Men's - 2012

The five-pocket workwear styled L1 Americana Pant features a not-too-baggy, not-too-skinny fit, generous 10,000 mm waterproofing, and a light dose of polyfill insulation to withstand nature's nastiest weather. Unique textured fabrics mean no two pairs are quite the same, while the jacket-to-pant interface works with your L1 coat to form a snow-proof seal on the really deep days.

  • 10K-rated waterproof/breathable membrane and critically taped seams keep you dry in all but the wettest conditions
  • Tailored fit draws in at the knee for a modern look, with plenty of room to move and be comfortable
  • Allover lightweight insulation for extra warmth without inhibiting movement
  • Stretch twill fabric for durability and comfort
  • Balls-Out venting cools your undercarriage when things get sweaty
  • Zippered leg cuffs for an easy fit over the top of your boots
  • Jacket-to-pant connection interface works with any L1 jacket

Bottom Line: Storm-stopping tech meets modern style.

Compared to the skinny, premium skinny, thunder, slim chino, and Americana....which pants have the skinny/flared look? I love the bellbottom look....but I hate when pants are too short. Which do you suggest have the most bellbottom look to them but are really baggy at the bottom so that they hang over the boot and touch the ground.

To get the skinny-knees-flared-bottom look, L1 is a safe bet. The Skinny, Premium Skinny and Thunder all have the same fit. The Slim Chino is slightly looser than the Skinny, and the Americana is the loosest with a mid-slim fit. All L1 pants will have a good flare going on.

Personally, I think the Thunder, Skinny or Premium Skinnys will get the look you want. Looks like people have been posting customer pics on those items, so you should be able to get a good idea of how they'll look. Hope that helps.

The rear pockets have zips, the secondary front pocket zips too. The front hand warmer pockets do not zip - they have snaps.

I wore these pants all last year from powder to slush, and didn't have a problem with snow getting in the pockets. Just be sure to keep your celly in the zip pocket and you'll be fine.
