Street-style for the mountain.
The L1 Slim Chino Pant possesses technical, mountain-worthy features packaged in the same casual style as the slim-fits you wear every day. The 8K/8K waterproof/breathable rating means you'll stay high and dry, even on slushy days. Articulated knees keep them from bunching while you're shredding, and inner thigh vents let you dump heat when you start cooking. Exposed and contrasting zippers, L1-branded trim, and classic muted colors make this a no-brainer for any shredder on the hunt for a pant with a modern, clean style.

What size would be best if I want them to fit basically straight from the boot up? Of course a little bagginess is expected.
I'm 165, 5'10 and 32/32 - I'm assuming between M or L but I just want to verify.
nice gaiters and crotch vent action
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Love the vent in these. Its just one zip that goes all the way through the crotch and down the thighs on both sides. The gaiters are pretty standard except they have a snap that attaches to the actual pant legs too so the elastic keeps the pant legs down around your boots. The waist is a bit small but other that that i like the fit and they're comfy

Is the Slim Chino noticeably looser (less skinny) than L1's Thunder Pant, Skinny Denim Pant, or Skinny Cargo Pant?
Yes, but it's still pretty slim, I prefer them over skinnys by far

Does all pockets have zippers? And I thought 2014 is 10k/10k waterproof/breathable rating.
The only pockets with zippers are the ones on the side of the thigh, the pockets near the belt line, the ones that are like normal jean pockets, do not have zippers. Neither do either pocket on the back of the pants. As far as waterproof, I rode these in the rain the other day and my pants I had on underneath stayed completely dry. That's waterproof enough for me, I don't know about you!
