L1 Vet Insulated Jacket - Men's - 2011

Drawing inspiration from an M-65 military jacket and meeting the fit and function demands of Jon Kooley, the L1 Vet Jacket delivers protection from the weather as well as a hefty serving of style. The Vet gives you oxford washed material, plenty of storage, and fit that's a little looser and a little longer—just the way Jon wanted it.

  • Fully taped seams seal out moisture where it likes to infiltrate first
  • Made from durable vintage-washed nylon oxford ripstop material
  • Tailored and articualted elbows for increased mobility
  • Two-way center front zipper allows for easy access to interior pockets
  • Venting with No-Sag mesh lining lets the air in and keeps the snow out
  • Tune-in and tune out with the interior audio pocket with cord feed

Bottom Line: Prisoner of gnar.

If people had to choose between this jacket and the L1 reducer

If people had to choose between this jacket and the L1 reducer jacket, taking in consideration style and tech, given the prices are the same..which one would u choose?

The Vet has a higher 10k waterproof rating and breathability rating, also the Vet features light insulation where the Reducer has none. Depending on how cold the weather gets where you are, this could be a huge factor. I tend to run cold and I prefer insulated jackets in most winter weather. Based strictly on tech, the Vet offers more bang for the buck.

That said, I prefer the style of the Reducer in Military green.

Hi. Im looking at getting this jacket. But not sure what size

Hi.
Im looking at getting this jacket.
But not sure what size would fit me best M or L.
Im 5,10 and 155 and looking for a slim fit but not so slim you can't do a simple indy grab.
I got the L1 call to arms from last year. How do the Vet fit compared to it?

Ok thanks. The call to arms fits fine around the chest. But it is abit long in the sleeves and in the lenght of the jacket. So would like it abit shorter in the arms and lenght.

The Vet will fit really similar to Call to Arms. I would prob put you in a medium, but if you like the sizing on you Call to Arms just go with that.

You could go either L or XL (depending on your style) in this jacket and be happy.

I'm 6 feet and 155lbs. I have the L1 Berlin, size large from this year (check it out on the site, I posted pics) which has the same cut as the Vet. It fits perfectly for me, not too slim but not very baggy either.

I also tried the XL. The XL was a little wider so if you want more room go with XL.
