And by 'trumps,' we mean 'You're Fired!'
Don't be surprised if you find yourself using your other boards as kindling, the Lib Tech Attack Banana EC2-BTX Snowboard replaces (and trumps) all of them. Lib Tech's legendary EC2-BTX camber slays all terrains and mountains equally (and utterly), so you might as well take up carpentry, because those other boards in your quiver just became furniture.
- EC2 Elliptical camber puts rocker between your feet for catch free turns and spins with full contact while engaged for edge control
- Correct Sandwich construction for super-light spin weight, tough double-sintered UHMW sidewalls, and a torsionally loose feel
- Magne-Traction edges for hardpack control without having to make the deck super-stiff
- Columbian Gold Core for the highest compression response ever in a snowboard
- Directional twin shape for exceptional performance in all conditions from powder to park

Lady rider recommendations.
Lady rider recommendations.
So I am beyond frustrated with the lack of technology in women's boards and therefore have decided that this year, I try and rock a men's. That being said I am struggling on deciding which to go with. I am a intermediate rider, more all mountain/back country rider but I still like to hit the park every now and again. I'm 5'4" and 135lbs, I'm a pretty strong girly but I also have size 7.5 feet (6 in men's).
I'm exactly same weight but 5'5", 134-136 lbs. I've had the original 153cm mid season 2011 launch and am liking it big time. Swing thru park and it's a bit stiff on technical true handrails but it is money on boxes and super stable landing jumps. It really shines on groomers and slack country for a Stiffer playful quick steering board. It's very loose but I've learned to really like that as compared to my 150cm park pickle and 153cm T.Rice. It really could be a one board quiver killer. That said I'm looking at pickle tech on a decent topsheet EC2 cause the SpaceCase is terrible. U might want to look at the Ladies Choice as well.
I would also look into Roxy! They are made by the same people as GNU and Lib Tech its Mervin Manufacturing! They have boards with all the same tech as the guys boards do. Good luck on your board search. Let me know if I can help I have worked in boardshops for a long time now
One thing you should know...
Model: 2013 / 156 Me: 173 lbs, 5'10', Skills: advanced: This is a great all around board. Well made in the US. Cool graphics. Loose and a lot of fun. Forgiving on landings... even when you think you are going wreck. It did everything I asked it to do (great in pow), except... it's squarely/unstable when you flat base on packed powder. At first I thought it was me and that I just needed more time on the board, but the more I road it, I found that the reverse camber of the board keeps the edges from engaging. Occasionally an edge would catch and through me off guard. I want to love this board, alas... After thinking about last season, I spent it up on the edges to avoid this squirrliness. As a result, I was not able to bomb hills and keep up with friends even on greens. Other reviews mention this instability. One reviewer mentioned that he was able to learn how to control it. I want to bomb hills... So next season I'm going to an aggressive all mountain twin with twin cam rocker.
What a awesome ride!
I've demoed pretty much all of Lib's line and even for a short 5' 4" tall guy like me, the 153 version of this deck is my go-to board. I thought the Banana Magic was awesome but that was before this board came along. T.Rice board is too stiff for me.
Attack Banana, stable in turns, on landings, through pow, crud and chop. For me, quite damp.
I also got to demo the '13/'14 Attack Banana at Baker this season and just as good.
What are the differences with the 2011...
What are the differences with the 2011 skate banana and the attack banana ec2-btx?
Skate Banana is softer and more aggressive magnetraction and Reverse camber between feet; AB is reverse between feet into camber just before inserts and then tip/tail complete the camber arc once weight is added to board. Mellow mag and stiffer/damp at speed. If u want park, go skate. If you swing thru park and mess around on a Lap or two but ride groomers get AB.
