Description

Weapons-grade Banana for tactical shredding.

Lib Tech believes that you shouldn't need a quiver of boards to ride everything on the mountain, which is why the Attack Banana EC2 BTX Snowboard was created. It's based off the award-winning, competition-smashing, cult-inspiring Skate Banana, and cranks up the all-terrain prowess by adding an EC2 profile to the equation. The result is a more powerful ride than the Skate Banana, and more forgiveness than the aggressive C2 boards. That means your powder board is your rail board, and your rail board rips the pipe. It's totally bananas, and we totally dig it.

The Attack Banana is built on Lib Tech's EC2 BTX rocker profile. Basically, that means that there's rocker between the bindings for float and forgiveness, while the tip and tail have a moderate degree of camber for response and power, giving you a catch-free ride that feels about halfway between the freestyle fun of the Skate Banana, and the more aggressive C2 boards like the T.Rice pro model. This year Lib Tech decided to tone down the Magne-Traction to make it feel less grabby without sacrificing reliable edge hold.

The Columbian Gold/Power A core uses fast-growing, sustainably harvested wood for a board that's light yet poppy and strong, and basalt volcanic glass reduces the amount of fiberglass needed to limit the amount of toxins created in the manufacturing process without sacrificing strength or response. Power Transfer internal sidewalls crank up the durability, and they're buffered by UHMW external sidewalls for impact resistance. Oh, and did we mention it's made right here in the good ol' USA?

  • Rocker between bindings, moderate camber at tip and tail
  • Twin shape
  • Magne-Traction .5 edges
  • Basalt and fiberglass combo
  • Medium to medium-stiff flex
  • Colombian Gold/Power A core
  • TNT extruded base
  • Power Transfer internal sidewalls

for those bout to rock the attack banana

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I salute you, rode this board all last season and found that i was calling in sick a lot more than usual. I was a huge fan of its camber profile because it allowed me to dial in my style. My riding style is a mix between park & backcountry and this board was the perfect fit, playful on park & natural features, nice and floaty in the deeps, and able at moderately high speeds (I'm no Ross Rebagliati). If I could go back and make the purchasing decision again, I'd buy 2. Due to it's versatility, this board will be perfect for at least 90% of the people that buy it.
