Lib Technologies Banana Magic BTX Snowboard - Wide - 2012

Lib Tech mad-scientist-in-chief Mike Olson returned from a vision quest with a set of snowboard blueprints hand-delivered by the last centaur on earth. The result is the Lib Tech Banana Magic BTX Wide Snowboard. The aggressive, mysterious sidecut and custom-tuned, enhanced version of Banana Tech make for a catch-free ride that's poppy, stable, and surprisingly damp. Fiberglass-free Horsepower construction and the Columbian Gold core mean this thing is not only environmentally friendly—it's also absurdly lightweight.

  • Numerically enhanced Banana Tech profile (!BTX!) uses Lib's steepest between-the-feet rocker with camber zones under your feet for a surfy, floaty freestyle ride
  • Magne-Traction serrated edges add contact points to improve edge hold in firm snow
  • Horsepower construction replaces traditional toxic fiberglass with eco-friendly basalt fibers for a lighter, damper, and poppier ride
  • Medium-stiff flex for a responsive ride that won't punish you for trying new tricks
  • Sustainably farmed Columbian Gold core is engineered to maximize pop and minimize weight
  • Eco-friendly bio-plastic topsheet made from castor beans
  • Magical mystery sidecut for extra-turny turns

Bottom Line: The Lib designers' dream board.

my rider guide says to go with 160 board. I am 5'11" and 190lbs with a 11.5 shoe size. I want the Lib Teck Banana Magic. Should I go with the 162 or 158 that you have instock?

Hey Josh,

There are a lot of factors into sizing a snowboard, it's not just weight. However, I would say given the information provided the 158 would be a great size. It will have plenty of length for the steeps and deeps but will still be fun for gettin' jibby with it or jumpin off of stuff.

For reference: I'm 6' 165lbs and I ride a 156cm for my all-mountain board at Snowbird.
