Description

Your ticket to the white room.

The Lib Tech Birdman FD BTX HP Snowboard floats so effortlessly in powder that you'll feel like you're cheating when you ride one. Banana technology, a long, floaty nose, and a tapered tail make this thing damn near unsinkable in the deep stuff. If you live for fresh snow and untracked turns, take flight on the Birdman and never look back.

It starts with the classic Banana profile, which features rocker between the bindings with subtle camber out towards the tips for float in pow and a catch-free feel on hardpack. However, it doesn't stop there—the Floatation Device elongated nose, a setback stance, and a tapered tail keeps you from having to lean back to stay on top of the snow, meaning less leg fatigue and, more importantly, less tomahawking when your nose dips a little. Magne-Traction edges slice through ice like it's fresh corduroy so you have plenty of edge hold on the rare occasions when you find yourself on hardpack.

Horsepower construction means that the Birdman forgoes traditional fiberglass in favor of environmentally-friendly basalt fibers. Not only is it more responsive and lighter than fiberglass, it's stronger too. The Polonia, Power A, and Aspen XL core uses sustainably harvested wood for a board that's light and poppy, and the Bio Beans topsheet is made from castor beans instead of petroleum-based plastics. Power Transfer internal sidewalls crank up the durability and response, and they're buffered by UHMW external sidewalls for impact resistance. The Teflon-infused TNT extruded base runs super fast, even if you forget to wax it for a day or two, and is easy to repair when you ding it up. Best of all, you can rest easy knowing that your snowboard was built in USA in an environmentally-conscious facility by snowboarders with jobs.
