I am 5'6" 150lbs looking for a new short board. Love doing freeriding and hitting the park from time to time. I had a burton seven board and its time to retire it. I am looking into getting more into boxes and need a board that can do this but still be able to go all over the mountain. Like the boxscratcher but wonder if the board would be right for me? Not that great on boxes but looking to learn more this season.
I'm around the same size and ride a 148 skate banana which has the the specs as the box scratcher and it's amazing! Pretty stable at high speeds for medium kickers and super fun for all kind of jibbing. You'll love the btx
Great edge hold even after detuned thanks to magnetraction. Great on rails, boxes, and everything else. And you can still hit jumps, just not 70 footers.
