Camber dominant, for old fashioned futuristic freeriding.
If you're an aggressive, powerful rider, odds are you've either ridden or heard about the Dark Series; Lib Tech just gave it an update in the form of the Darker Series C3 BTX snowboard. It uses Lib's new C3 BTX camber dominant profile, to give you the benefits of Banana Tech, in a package that rides more like a traditional cambered board. Throw in Magnetraction edges for edge hold on ice, and the Bamboo Throttle for extra control, and you've got a stick that's ready to charge head on into steeps, jumps, and anything else you feel like mowing down.
The Darker Series is built on Lib's C3 BTX profile. That means that it's overall cambered from tip to tail, with a mini-rockered section between the feet. If you lay it on the ground, the tip and tail touch, and the sightly rockered section between the feet doesn't. Yeah, we know that sounds strange, but take our word for it, the result is all the cambered power and edge hold that you love, but with a bunch of extra float, and more grip between your feet. It gets better with Magne-Traction edges, which place seven strategic bumps along the edges. The bumps are bigger between the feet, which concentrates most of the grip there for a ride feeling that's a lot like a skateboard. The nearly-twin shape has a half inch of setback, for directional shredding, without sacrificing switch landings or takeoffs.
The bindings mount to the Bamboo Organic Throttle riser plates, which radiate out into the core to give you more direct input to the board. The Columbian Gold core uses sustainably harvested wood for a board that's light, and snappy. Power Transfer internal sidewalls crank up the durability, and they're buffered by UHMW external sidewalls for impact resistance. Co Sint sintered base is the fastest in Lib's lineup, and it holds a bunch of wax to keep you flying around the mountain. Best of all, you can rest easy knowing that your snowboard was built with eco-friendly materials by snowboarders with jobs.

Superb power riding
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Rode the Dark Series last year, enjoyed the ride but definitely felt "looser", in some tighter situations the looseness added to the sketch factor... Enter the Darker Series, same shred ability but more powerful and tighter response with the added camber.
