Description

The legendary rocker ride, now available in grom-friendly sizes.

The fine folks at Lib Technologies understand that mini-shredders have at least as much fun on the hill as their big brothers, so they designed the Lib Ripper Skate Banana BTX Snowboard for young bucks who need a man-sized serving of tasty tech. The mini version rides just like the full-sized Skate Banana, with the catch-free, versatile freestyle ride that made Banana Tech famous.
  • Banana Tech features rocker between your feet and a flat tip and tail for a jibby, catch-free ride that still rips in the pow
  • H-Pop core uses a variety of lightweight woods for ollie power and durability
  • Magne-Traction edges add five contact points for extra control and turning power in all snow conditions
  • Sintered base helps avoid knuckling jumps and getting stuck in the flats
  • Soft flex between the feet, with a stiffer tip and tail to improve pop and edge control

My experience was exactly as Mark Berger described, in fact I had to look twice to make sure I didn't submit that review! The burton chopper may have been beneficial for the first two mountain trips but was no good after that. It didn't take my eight year old very long to drop bad habbits and develop his shredding once on the Lib Ripper.

I picked up a 115cm Lib Ripper for my son a few months ago. It's his first season riding, but he has outgrown his old Burton Chopper in both size and riding style. The Lib Ripper changed his riding style significantly, and he quickly discarded the bad habits the Chopper taught him. He is progressing much quicker on the Lib. I highly recommend this board.

My fiance thinks she wants to try out the LIB RIPPER BTX YOUTH SNOWBOARD SIZE 135. She is a small build girl, approx 164cm and weighs about 99 pounds. She isnt a child, actually 32 years old. She is fairly experienced, however she wants to try magnetration after seeing well i improved after getting my Banana Magic BTX. Awesome product. Just wanted to know if this Lib Ripper 135 would be suitable. Great to hear from you asap thanks. Damian

Her call dude, its called a kids board because its sized for a kids build, and due to her light weight anything heavier would be difficult to move around. And alot of people ride their boards small, and beacause she not going to grow anymore, i say get it. Trust me its a sick board i have it.

125 definatly, at first it will be a little big but you will definately grow into it. You will also be able to ride it for a while cause BTX boards are meant to be ridden small.

My little guy is 5 yrs old. This is his second season riding and he has really exploded this year. He is riding the park and hitting boxes, rails and small kickers. His old board seems to be getting a little small on him. He is currenty 47 inches and 55 lbs, he rides a Lamar Dragon 105. What would be a good step up for a kid that is progessing rapidly and likes everything from park to powder? Would a 115 or 125 be too much for next year?

125 would probably be too big of a jump. Even though he's a growing kid, the 115 will be a good fit and will last a couple years. BTX snowboards are meant to be ridden smaller! This is a great board that has all the quality features that the adult boards have.

Id say the lib tech board. They're both good companies but lib tech has better board quality.

Both boards have very similar shapes, but there are some slight differences in the wood core and base material. They both have Magnetraction and banana tech, not dummed down cheap versions of the adult boards. Here you're going to have to go with the Mini Kass so you can get the larger size it looks like.
