What's that factory bevel on lib skate bananas?
I measured my 2010 Skate Banana and it looks like it's 4-5 degrees. Though the base seems to not be that "flat" cross-section wise. It's convex. Not sure if it's intentional but when I lean it on the table edge and put a piece of paper there, the base at the edges move away from the paper a little. Try it youself and you can even tape the piece of paper on the table and use a ruler to flush the edges and then draw lines onthe paper. Then use a protractor to measure the lines. If you can see the "flush" easily, tape an LED light to the board below the table and then you can see easier at what angle your (opaque) ruler flushes the edge. A steel ruler is best because it doesn't deform like plastic when you press it hard on the snowbaord edge.
I use it for all mountain riding and freestyle. Handles great in all conditions, especially in powder and ice (east coast rider). Great flex, and love the btx and mtx technology. Was a Burton fanboy until realized this board is superior in so many ways. No complaints so far, except the factory wax job is not that good.
Fun to ride
The banana technology was tough to get used to at first, but once I got it down, it was super fun to ride.... fast board and turned super easy, and never caught an edge. It's more of a pow board though, even though lib claims its an all purpose board. its a little bit stiff for my liking, pretty effing heavy, and harder to ollie with. Great for kickers, not great for jibs, great for kinda fake pressing, not great for little lips on the mountain or for features in the park
i love libs
this board is the best board ever i would really want this years but way to much
