Lib Technologies Skate Banana BTX Snowboard - Assorted Bananas

The time for multi-colored all-mountain freestyle fun has come. Some believe the Lib Tech Skate Banana BTX Snowboard in Assorted Colors was foretold by ancient cave drawings scrawled by primitive shredders many eons ago, some believe the colorful Skate Banana was planted by aliens and just now discovered, and some believe cosmic mutant apes brought the Banana from the future. One thing is for certain: the Banana is high in BTX technology and shredtassium so you can get loose but have your pop too.

  • Banana Tech is built with a rockered platform between the feet, a flat section under the inserts, and a mild camber toward the ends
  • The result of the Banana Tech is freestyle-centric pressure between the feet and a catch-free feeling at the furthest contact points
  • Magnetraction technology places extra contact points along the edge, creating a serrated knife effect for optimum traction on all types of snowpack including ice and crud
  • H-Pop wood-alloy core uses rocker-specific tapering to harmonize with the reverse-camber shape to increase pop without interrupting the forgiving flex
  • Power Transfer Internal Sidewalls reinforce the sidewalls with an internal 90-degree wall built to resist and absorb sidewall, edge, and core-damaging impacts
  • Twin geometry rides even going both ways, which delivers a skate-like feel designed for all terrain
  • Transworld Snowboarding Magazine Good Wood Award repeat winner
  • Graphics vary and are picked by size, not color—we cannot guarantee a certain color

Bottom Line: Plucked from a different tree.

What happened to Sintered base

By:
April 10, 2013

They claim Sintered on the manufacture sticker on the board but this board comes with what they call TNT (extruded) base. They argue TNT is better than sintered but the bottom line is that it dings easily and it's slower than sintered. I had the same board 08-09 season and it was good old sintered base. I'm not looking forward to unstrapping on the flatter spot this spring. It's unfortunate that as the sales go up meterial used degrade. C'mon Mervin! Stick to what have got you here.

Hey guys,

These boards are meant to be random. If you're really worried about your board not matching your eyes(or whatever it is), order the regular Banana---not the assorted:

As far as i know there is no way to pick a color for your skate banana, once ordered they will ship you a random color of whatever they have in stock for the size you selected. IMO dog funk needs to do a little more work to clock their inventory so you can choose your color, otherwise they will lose my skate banana business!

Fun Fun Fun

By:
December 18, 2012

This is the most fun and playful snowboard I have been on. Loved it for small to medium size park features. Really fun for cruising all mountain and, great float in pow! A little bit thin at the waist for my 11.5 boots, minor toe drag was occasionally an issue. If you have big feet try the wide model. 5 of 10 is accurate for the flex. If you want to start riding park, or want a park board to take it to the next level buy a skate banana!

That Sh*t is Skate Bananas

By:
January 24, 2013

I've ridden almost every manufacturer with the exception of Mervin...until I bought the 2013 skate banana. Honestly, I've been eyeing Libtech from afar for many years. Recently, my 2012 StepChild Powder sucks board went out of service, forcing my hand.

The SB takes my ride to the next level for sure (All mountain Summit County, CO vs. hard pack East Coast vs. street sessions in the park). It locks on rails, shreds powder and ice and looks better than your ex-gf on your arm. The only problem I had was washing out some big air jumps where I may have landed on the Powder Sucks boards.

I've paired the board with Union Contact Pro's and 32 boa's = a good day. Thx Lib!
