Description

The archetype rocker.

It's been a while since the OG banana literally flipped the script on the snowboard world. Today, the Lib Tech Skate Banana Original BTX Snowboard is just as relevant and versatile as it was on day one.

  • Banana Tech is built with a rockered platform between the feet, a flat section under the inserts, and a mild camber toward the ends
  • The result of the Banana Tech is freestyle-centric pressure between the feet and a catch-free feeling at the furthest contact points
  • Magnetraction technology places extra contact points along the edge, which creates a serrated knife effect for optimum traction on all types of snowpack including ice and crud
  • H-Pop wood-alloy core uses rocker-specific tapering to harmonize with the reverse-camber shape to increase pop without interrupting the forgiving flex
  • Power Transfer Internal Sidewalls reinforce the sidewalls with an internal 90-degree wall built to resist and absorb sidewall, edge, and core-damaging impacts
  • Twin geometry rides even going both ways, delivering a skate-like feel designed for all terrain
  • Transworld Snowboarding Magazine Good Wood Award repeat winner
  • Designed, tested, and built in the USA

I am 6 foot 180 lbs size 11 boot what would be the best fit for a all mountain board 156 or 159 narrow or wide ...Thanks

If you ride a lot of powder, I'd go 159 for the extra float. But if it's not going to be a powder board for you, either size will be fun for you. If you want a more playful ride, go with the 156. In a size 11 boot, you probably dont need the wide version.

I`m new to snowboarding and that`s the first season I`m riding.
Have already bought the Burton SLX shoes, and now I`m looking for a board and bindings.
What binding would you recommend with this board? I`m looking towards Burton medium stiff bindings to fit great with my shoes.
Maybe Cartel or Prophecy? I prefer all-mountain and backcountry, but not park.

I ride a 155 right now and i love it. I weigh about 175 and almost 6 feet tall. Now even though it doesnt really matter u think i should go for the 154 or the 156?

I'd go for the 156 - this board is pretty rockered and rides shorter than it is. the 156 is still plenty small for all of the park riding that you might want to do, but going down to 154 is going to get short for pow riding.

i had the same issue and went with the 159 simply because the longer the board, the easier it is in the powder. However a shorter board is better for park. So if you do park more, stick to a shorter board. if you ride powder more go for a longer board

This board is simply amazing. It is a great all around board and super playful. I've never owned a board that was not regular camber, so it took me about a day to get used to the rocker/reverse camber/rocker setup, but boy do I love it. I do not think I will ever go back. The rocker setup makes it super easy to go from edge to edge, especially in tree runs where you have to be quick. I am not sure if the wavy edge helps, but I definitely get better grip than I think most others on the mountain. I live on the easy coast, so even boarding through harder surfaces isnt as scary as it used to be.

The board is also medium flex and has a lot of pop. I was scared to go too buttery, since I also like to go fast. First few times going through bumpy terrain was a leg workout, but I got used to it. The board though has a lot of pop. I definitely think the pop helps on jumps, getting more air, and pulling off more advanced grabs.

I am an intermediate rider (3rd season). I love freeriding and taking park moves onto the mountain. I matched this board with rome united bindings.

I think the wide option will be better for you. You'll be able to ride the right size baord for you without toe drag.

Hey, I am 5'7'' and weigh 230lbs. I have been snowboarding about 7 or 8 times and am absolutely loving it. I have always just rented a board, boots, and bindings at the park but now I am looking to purchase my own. I'm a size 10 boot so what size board would you recommend for my height, weight, boot size?

like the title the skate banana is a great board. But make sure to measure the board for the inserts to make sure its a true twin. I happened to have a factory defect but i sent it back to dogfunk and they sent back a new skate banana for me.

You could ride the narrow or the wide! The Narrow might give you a little more control, But either way you should be fine! ^^^ And you aren't limited to Roxy boards being a female^^^

Depends how much you weigh. I am 140lbs and I went with the 152". I think the board is more stable than you would usually imagine, so if you like park, go with the shortest you think you will be comfortable with.

By far the best park board ever ridden.I had the ns evo and the that was ok. but the skate banana is honestly alot better. Pop is better, super easy to butter, jibs and spins are at ease, jumping is too good. The durability is too durable. throw anything at this board. bottom line if you like park get this with a pair of Union Force bindings and you got the best park set up of the year. The best part is with dog funks returns and exchange policy you can get the new version of the skate banana and bindings every year no charge. I have been getting the new version of boards every year for free. And I am from Canada so you can still exchange every year free!!!

Unfortunately Dogfunk does not ship to Russia. If you know someone in a country that we do ship to you could always have it sent to them. Here's a list of countries we do ship to:
