Lib Technologies T.Rice Pro Model C2-BTX Blunt Snowboard

Serious retail therapy here, but this is the best object I've spent money on. Bought late season but was able to try it on a little powder, corn snow and hardpack. Super stable board, turn initiation is easy, and it seems to accelerate in and out of turns (it's powerful). Great pop and good enough float for a twin board. Mangetraction really gets into the east coast hardpack, and I haven't noticed any stickiness from it. Doesn't butter well, but also doesn't get tossed around in funky snow.

I went from a Burton Custom (too stiff) and Burton Malolo. Malolo is still the powder board, but the Custom has been retired by the T.Rice. I'm sure the TRS is great too, but I wanted the extra width for powder and stability for hardpack. BUY THIS BOARD. IT IS NO JOKE.

Ive always ridden true camber boards. I decided I wanted something a little different, and have never really been into full rockers. I decided to give the hybrid a try and absolutely love it. The rocker zone of the T. Rice is smaller, so it doesn't ride as loose as a full rocker. I don't know if its the swing weight or the magnatraction, but it is extremely responsive, similar to a full camber board. The T. Rice has a lot of power and great pop, too. I've ridden it on hard pack, ice, and in spring like conditions and it has performed very well. I haven't had the chance to take it out in any snow deeper than a couple inches, but I'm sure it will live up to the hype in pow too. The only downside thus far is that it can be a little catchy at higher speeds on hard pack because of the magnatraction. A small price to pay for a great board.

As a side note, be sure to keep an eye on your board or lock it up when you step inside for lunch. I had my T. Rice stolen the first night I took it out after only about two hours of riding. (I ride my boards pretty hard and they are always beat up and in no condition that would incline someone to steal them, so I didnt think twice about leaving it off to the side out of view... wont make that mistake again.) Long story short, I liked the board enough from the two hours of riding to buy another one (and a cheap lock)!

I just got it. I personally would go with the 150 in size because it has the flex of 5 which is the same as the skate banana. The bigger size the stiffer it gets. You can butter the 150 around and press but with the bigger sizes it would be harder because the flex gets stiffer 6, 7, to an 8 in the bigger sizes.

Snappy. Responsive. A pretty board. Thought it would be a little softer but now that I've risen it I'm happy it's a little stiffer. Amazing though, I love it.
