Lobster The Jibbaord Snowboard - 2011

Slay your next rail or park feature with the Lobster Jibbaord Snowboard and then give thanks to the Helgason brothers for imbuing it with the triple base technology that made it all possible. They Helgasons were inspired to launch their own snowboard line and imbue it with their random creativity and favorite snowboard technology. Designed to pwn urban scenes and slay any park, the Jibbaord (not a typo) features powerful traditional camber from tip-to-tail and raised/rockered edges to prevent snags on tricky kinks; a combo that provides tons of pop and the loose board feel you've been looking for.

  • JIB TBT (Triple Base Technology)features symmetrical nose and tail shapes for switchy goodness, full tip-to-tail camber for classic pop, and lifted edges for the forgiving board feel you desire without removing the teeth you need to charge and maintain total control
  • WDT core is light, powerful, and durable; aka, everything you need to take full advantage of the new riding powers that JIB TBT delivers
  • Bi-axial laminates complement the board's TBT-oriented design to ensure a consistent flex and maximum pop
  • Extruded base material is way strong, way fast, and way easy to repair after a something nasty takes a bite out of it

Bottom Line: It's time to get serious with a Lobster.

i know some of us snowboarders are terrified of all this crazy new technology, i know I'm one of them. but don't let the JIBBAORD's JIB TBT scare you. Lobsters JIB TBT has a wider middle base, with smaller edge bases, giving it a flatter and more stable base.

Is this a clone of the Airobic or the Disaster from Bataleon?

Examing the specs I see its a Disaster but I read somewhere it is closer to the Airobic flex wise with a Disaster core.

dont pay attention to the flex section of the tech specs. Its 10 being the most flexible and this is an 8. if your looking for a great board for jibs this is it. its more flexible than any other board out there. and its almost impossible to catch an edge with the tbt

If you're consistently hitting 50 footers look at the Lobster Parkboard or Bataleon's Evil Twin or Riot. They'll be much more stable on landings and will help you carry speed for your take off. TBT is the sh!t. Word.

im sticking with lobster from now on i love the jib tbt its perfect the base between the lifted edges is wider thus more stable but still loose and fun to ride. and its super soft so you can really get into presses. the tbt is great for landings as well its harder to catch an edge.

Dogfunk didn't mess this up. Lobster and Bataleon (both TBT) changed their flex scales, 10 is softest. they figure if you lay the board flat and pull up on the nose/tail, the higher the flex, the higher the number. YEA FOR IT!

its very soft, and you can't really say a board is good for someone with just your height. but this board is good for anyone who wants to ride street and park stuff

I have a size 13 boot do you think i can use this board even though it isn't a wide? possibly because of TBT?

By:

it depends on your stance width, but its very unlikely that you could ride this without toe drag.

also, TBT has nothing to do with the width of the board, and won't let you ride bigger boots. TBT is just the shape of the core and the base.
