In the late ’90s, pro skateboarders Daewon Song and Tim Gavin founded Matix Clothing because they were sick of clothes that disintegrated whenever they skated. Since then, Matix men’s and women’s Asher hoodies have redefined heavyweight fleece, Matix denim continues to dial in fit and durability, and a full line of sweaters and clothing focus on new ways of thinking about color. The Matix pro team of skaters like Marc Johnson, Biebel and McCrank, surfers such as Gabe Kling and Micah Byrne, and snowboarders Mikey LeBlanc, Stevie Bell, and Andreas Wiig show that Matix has evolved beyond skateboarding, into a name that’s at the very core of skate, snow, and surf culture.
