Matix Domepiece Headphones - 2009

Matix gave the Domepiece Headphones their name to eliminate any confusion about whether you’re supposed to wear them on your head or your ass. The 40mm drivers ensure plenty of thump for your brain, while the cord is long enough to keep you rocking out whether you’re spinning a set on your buddy’s 1200’s or just making delicious breakfast pastries in your kitchen.

Bottom Line: It’s always nice to start the day with baked goods.

The bass hits so hard, it's absolutely ridiculous. they fit perfectly, and the colors pop. Just awesome.

These Matix headphones are legit. I got the black/gold ones a few weeks ago and I love them. I've had other over the ear headphones from other brands and these Matix phones just feel so solid, and not all creaky on your head. The construction is super solid, and the sound is great. Not too bass heavy, but just enough to get you bumping.

Got em for 19.99 on WhiskeyMilitia and definitely a good deal. Nylon cloth cords are always legit and better quality in my opinion. Bass hits hard on these headphones with regular settings. Definitely worth it for at least that price. I have a medium size head and the foam earpads fit comfortably and they look good!

Great in both sound and style.

Got these for only $19 off Whiskey Militia. Unbelievable steal. They're a bit tight on my head and my ears feel a little cramped after a while, but I'm guessing they'll loosen up over time and fit perfectly. They're not noise-canceling, but definitely the next best thing: wore my on a cross-country flight and was totally able to tune out the crying baby two rows up from me. I had to mess with the EQ settings on my iPod to get the treble a little more balanced with the unquestionably awesome bass.

I doubt I woulda dropped $80-90 on these, but for the $25 total from Whiskey Milltia, oh yeah, you bet.

Not what i expected

I was a little disappointed about the grey primer color. Its a little darker than the picture and i thought they would be a bit larger. Other than that the sound is good and they have an awesome fit!

Matix>Nixon

About 3 months ago, I picked up the Nixon Nomadic Headphones... They were $100 and in my opinion worth about $40 tops. Now, these Matix headphones... SICK. Don't be fooled by the price difference, these badboys are well worth their $70 price tag, and definitely the $23.99 off Whiskey (I almost feel bad). My room mate has Beats by Dr. Dre and the Domepieces keep right with em. The bass is all there and the highs and lows are solid too (Plus they don't need batteries to work). For the full $70 I give em a 4/5... but for $23.99 I give em a 6/5. PICK EM UP.

perfect headphones

Got these on Whiskey Militia. Definitely worth the extreme discount they offered them for. I got the Kingston style ones and they look sweet. Exactly like the picture. The yellow chord is pretty awesome. And most importantly, the sound quality is legit. I tested them with some high bass kicking electronic music and some smooth acoustic indie with a lot of high end. They cover these ranges quite well. They are labeled left and right, but it almost seems more comfortable to switch them. maybe it's just a personal preference. Otherwise, 5 star headphones!
