If you know anything about skate jeans, you'll know the Matix Men's Gripper Denim Pant. If you don't know anything about the Grippers, then let us be the first to tell you: these things rule. Matix's Gripper Fit has a low rise, a slight flare at the bottom, and it hugs your thighs, knees, and leg without putting your nuts in a vice grip. A bit of stretch in the premium denim give you mobility and 17.5-inch leg openings fit just right with skate shoes.
These jeans are awesome. Perfect amount of stretch, great look, and are super comfortable. My only comment is that they size a bit large. I am a larger guy and am somewhere between a 34 and a 36, and went of the safe side with a 36. I can not wear them without a belt. If you are iffy on the size, go for the smaller one.
Got these last year, and they rock balls. Literally. My junk is so comfy in these I have to smash my nuts every once in a while to make sure they're still there. And they're so stretchy I don't walk anymore. I only lunge.
Write your question here...My son is 6'7" ,very slim and a skateboarder. He is getting very frustrated trying to find jeans that are long enough. He needs a inseam of 39"-40". With a waist of 34" I am pretty sure he will have to have them custome made. Any ideas....HELP!!!
nothing wrong with a tailor. 6'7" is a tall man. I would be surprised to see very many pants to fit your son.
i know most stores like say big and tall tend towards a business casual look which is not skater style, i might recommend talking to a gear rep about finding out more. perhaps they have an inside scoop as to which brands cater to tall dudes. don't be shy, hit them up. It would not be a far cry thinking that dogfunk has its ins with reps who know whats up and know that boarders come in all sizes :)

Ok, so I originally gave these guys a three star rating, and ranted about how terrible they are-but I am taking it all back now after giving these guys another shot. They have a nice low rise, and a good fit around my thighs, I'm 5'10" 145lbs, and normally wear a 30, but the waist is a little loose with these, so I coulda gone a size down easily. They make me think og old cowboy pants.Comfortable, lots of stretch, and don't turn into wrinkled pieces of crap when you wash them. My only complaint is the waist is a little loose.
Just bought my 5th pair. These are my favorite Jeans. They are strechy so they don't hug your nuts too death, and wide at the bottom to cover my shoes so It doesn't look like those skaters wearing leggings. I have long legs and these fit me perfect! Love em!
I am a goofy shaped Dude, but these jeans are awesome. Just enough strech to make them fit right but not super tight like a homosexual emo kid. Plenty of room, not a nut hugger and no restriction in movement which is crucial when our out street riding BMX. Anyone knocking these jeans just didn't do there homework and realize what they were buying. I love em. Got my first pair off Whiskey then went to DogFunk to find them again.!! They rock,
So I'm kinda tall and slim, thought these would be perfect. I should've taken the no inseam measurement as a red flag. These jeans made me look like huck finn. They stopped a couple inches short of my ankles and were pretty slim. They also have this amazing ability to be baggy in the waist/butt and still grip your nuts and legs all the way down. Didn't like the fit or the feel. I returned.
Thank you! My son is tall & slim too and your right, these look like they'd be a great pant for that body type. Thanks for saving me the anguish of not having to order, then return.
Had 'em a couple of weeks now, they are getting put through the grinder and holding up well. Tight enough to look good, not tight enough to constrict business downstairs, for the most part, and the stretchy factor is good for lots of movement. Only thing is the inseam could be longer and I wouldn't complain.
Overall, girls notice and like these bad boys, which I guess is the ultimate goal.
these jeans rock out loud! they are so compfgy and i love how they feel on my balls, great for skating! they are wicked raw and totally siiiiiiiick. id fuck these jeans if i could, they are BALLLLLLLLLIN.
I've been purchasing Matix Gripper denim for quite a while.
Many people don't realize it, but whether or not they are 100% cotton / 98% cotton, 2% spandex or 2% lycra is all dependent on the colorway. Be sure to do research on your color choice before purchase i.e. check other sites for more exact details
Also, from 2006-2008 all of the inseams for size 30 was 32". Now in 2009 they have changed the inseam to 30" for size 30.
They're good, if you like them, I suppose, but I found them to be a rather strange fit; slim towards the top, wider at the bottom. I felt like I was wearing present day bell bottom jeans, or something...
I LOVE THESE PANTS! I get compliments on them all the time. i wear them almost all the time, because they are so comfortable. Don't think twice, BUY THEM!!!
Props to matix for making these jeans, there unlike any other denim youll own. Sick colours and a hint of stretch make them great for skating, and the gripper fit holds hands with todays trends. There also super durable denim, so you can take a tumble and not have to go running home to mom. buy them.
