Never Summer Premier F1 Snowboard

The mid-stiff, ultra-damp Never Summer Premier F1 Snowboard is built for tackling huge lines on bigger mountains. The Premier easily smashes through crud and rules hardpack with carbon stringers for tons of power at the edges. Elastomer stringers take care of vibration to give you more control and reduce rider fatigue. All this combined with Never Summer's legendary durability make the Premier a force that's a blast to reckon with.

  • Never Summer's patented Rocker and Camber (R.C.) profile puts rocker under and between your bindings for float and forgiveness with camber toward the tip and tail for powerful turns and control on hardpack
  • Carbon V-Twin Technology places carbon stringers in a ‘v’ shape at the nose and two ‘v’s’ at the tail. This increases stiffness where you need it for more edge power and control
  • F1 elastomeric stringers absorb vibration and increase damping for better control
  • Multi-Flex Flightcore combines hardwoods and lightweight softwoods with elastomer stringers for light weight and vibration damping
  • STS pretensioned fiberglass is a pre-hardened, layered laminate with elastomer stringers the length of the effective edge for added strength, edge hold, and performance
  • Bi-Lite fiberglass provides added strength with a super-light glass fiber matrix
  • Ultra-durable Sintered P-Tex Sidewalls maintain strength at any temperature to eliminate cracking
  • Durasurf XT Sintered graphite-infused base for ridiculous speed
  • P-Tex tip and tail protection reduces damage in an impact. No more splinters

Bottom Line: What Never Summer is all about.

Beastly

Speed 4/5: This thing hauls pretty good
Stability 5/5: The dampening and stiffness power through rough terrain like a dream
Control 5/5: Despite that it's a beefier board it's super easy to turn and makes big deep turns.

Overall this is a fun board. I would recommend it especially if your home mountain has lots of open steep terrain. If you're a speed freak like me you won't be disappointed. For something that's similar but a little more snappy/responsive and just a bit less fast/stable take a look at the Raptor.

As for sizing, I'm 5'10" and 170 and I used the 163. This size was spot on, it's made to be a little longer as a freeride/big mountain board.

Nice Board

This is a review from a friend of mine:
For an at best intermediate snowboarder like myself this board proved very capable in the hard-packed / slushy snow conditions.
I’m 6’4, approximately 200 lbs, and found the board turned crisply and felt well balanced.
In some trying conditions I thought the board carved well and rarely skated.
