Peak to park without skipping a beat.

The do-anything Never Summer Proto CTX Wide Snowboard offers all-mountain versatility to those with bigger feet. Bomber construction holds up to abuse from rails and cliff drops alike, and the R.C. hybrid profile gives you the float you want in pow and the edge hold and power you need on hardpack.

  • R.C. profile features rocker underfoot and between the bindings with camber outside the bindings for a playful, floaty ride that is stable on hard pack at high speeds
  • STS Pretensioned fiberglass has elastomer stringers between the laminates for unmatched strength and edge hold
  • Carbonium carbon laminates increase torsional strength without adding weight
  • NS Superlight core blends super light wood with durable hardwood for unmatched strength-to-weight ratio
  • Vario Power Grip sidecut uses three different radii, going from deeper towards the tip and tail, to a straight section in the middle, for increased edgehold
  • Twin shape for stomping tricks switch
  • Durasurf XT sintered base has added graphite to make it Never Summer's fastest one yet
  • Carbonium topsheet is responsive and crack- and chip-resistant
  • Sintered P-tex sidewall won't crack in cold temperatures

Picked up the NS Proto CTX 158 and love it. Took a run or two to get use to the reverse camber set up, but really dug it. Great turning, edgehold, great pop, real responsive, but also forgiving. Great all mtn destroyer. Plus made in 'merica!

This board is awesome, its rocker and camber profiles make for a really playful forgiving feel and it makes for easy moving in the flats- just penguin walk down the trail! Rode well all over on ice and particularly well in the park, definitely recommend

Is it extremely flexy? I know it's a 5 but all board brands are different. Was wondering if anyone that owned it could tell me how much flex this actually gave. I like stiffer boards for park and such.

Hey Kevin,

No it is not as soft as a lot of 5's out there. Plenty of flex for getting your press on but still has a backbone for landing big jumps and holding an edge. Really sick board.

I have a '12 and was comin off a lib tech trs...this board will do anything and it is soft id give it a 5...at really high speeds you feel the chatter but isn't scary...I took in 2' of powder at snowbird, UT and all the ice rinks where I live in New England...awesome board light as a feather, scratch resistant topsheet

I rode this board last year and fell in love with it. I am About 6'1 and I rode a 154, had no problem charging powder on it, super fun in the park also. This board is a all around killer. Hands down one of the most durable boards i have ever been on. LOVE NEVER SUMMER.......

yO Brett.. got a question.. I wear like a 11-11.5 boot.. You think I could make it on a CT witout toe drag? Or should I go with the CT X? Also have you tried buttering on it yet? If so how tough is it to pull off on this board? Thanks!

i demoed the revolver which has is the wider evo and the proto ctx with a 10 boot and there was plenty of room i dont think that you would have a problem on the ctx but stay away from a regular width board unless you rock a fairly wide and heavily angled stance.
