Never Summer Raptor Snowboard - 2012
Never Summer's flagship freeride/big mountain board, the Raptor, is beyond pissed-off. This mid-stiff, high performance freecarver features a directional shape and directional rocker camber that will blast through chunder and lay down laser-precise carves on the hardpack. The Raptor owns the mountain. (Cue old-west bird-of-prey call).
- Never Summer's patented Rocker and Camber (R.C.) profile puts rocker under and between your bindings for float and forgiveness with camber toward the tip and tail for powerful turns and control on hardpack
- Carbonium topsheet is scratch- and chip-resistant and provides traction like a stomp pad for better control while riding one-footed
- Carbonium laminate technology uses carbon fiber in the construction of the board for light weight, durability, and tons of pop
- Directional Rocker Camber designed specifically for high-speed carving stability and exclusive to the Raptor
- Bi-Lite fiberglass provides added strength with a super-light glass fiber matrix
- NS superlight wood core blends extremely light wood with durable hardwood for light weight, durability, and pop
- STS pretensioned fiberglasswith added elastomer stringers for durability
- CDS damping System increases edge hold and high speed stability with thin elastomer stringers that absorb vibration
- Ultra-durable Sintered P-Tex Sidewalls maintain strength at any temperature to eliminate cracking
- Durasurf XT Sintered graphite-infused base for ridiculous speed
- P-Tex tip and tail protection reduces damage in an impact. No more splinters
Bottom Line: Gut the mountain with talons and a razor-sharp beak.

I love this board, so easy to get around...can do everything you want on the mountain (I thought it would be a lil' too short in deep powder for me {161cm, I'm 6'2"} & I was dead wrong)...oh baby, a pleasure to ride!
Amazing powder board

I bought this board in 2010 (yellow and black). I was previously riding a sims ritual board. It was night and day in the powder. I do a lot of big mountain and powder riding. (powder snob not a park rat, lol) and I honestly don't think there is anything better out there. The aggressive reverse camber makes carving effortless. On hard pack its kinda annoying. It seams to want to wash out pretty easy and you have to stay on top of things. The board is also tougher than nails. Still don't have a scratch on it and I'm pretty tough on boards, always hitting iron bunnies, Snowmobiles and truck beds seam to take a toll on other boards, but this one holds up. I love this board so much that I'm going to buy a beater this year for the ice and rocks, and save this one just for the powder days. I know it would would hold up but I want this board to last for years and years. So if you love big mountains and deep snow buy this board.
Change me.
