Description

The wide freeride board with serious bite.

If you couldn't care less about sliding rails and want a powerful, fast board for tackling steep, technical terrain in any conditions from bottomless powder to boilerplate, the Never Summer Raptor X Snowboard is your new favorite deck. The directional hybrid rocker profile and Carbonium laminate offer a super-reactive ride that's floaty in the deep stuff yet unbelievably stable at speed.

  • Directional R.C. (Rocker & Camber) hybrid profile for optimized carving performance and deep-snow float
  • Carbonium Laminate Technology strategically places carbon above and below the core for reactive turns and tons of pop
  • Lightweight Carbonium topsheet resists scratches and chips, and features a textured surface for much better boot grip than a traditional glossy topsheet
  • Superlight tip-to-tail wood core for strength and snap at minimal weight
  • CDS dampening system absorbs vibration for a smoother ride without compromising the powerful flex and responsive turns
  • Sintered P-Tex sidewalls for bombproof durability
  • Vario Power Grip sidecut blends together multiple radii to maximize stability and control at any speed
  • Durasurf XT Sintered base for industry-leading speed and durability

Just picked up this board in the 169 and spent a couple days riding in Tahoe. Just Wow. I mean WOW. Bought it after a demo ride on a Skunk Ape, the flex of which was a little soft for my taste. This raptor is a serious rail. Power, response, and I have to say I didn't notice any vibration or chatter all day when slicing through ice. As the description says, if your a big dude that just likes to lay down powerful lines, this is IT. I've been riding for 20 years and this is the first board I've purchased that doesn't have a traditional full camber. I'm not sure how much the directional rocker-camber is enhancing the performance, but it sure seems nice for carving. I'd also like to note that prior to this I never spent the big dollars for techy advanced boards....but so far this seems to be worth every penny.

I bought the board in the 2011/12 season and I have been riding since 1991. This is the best board I've ever owned or ridden. I live by the factory and had some base scratches from doing a chute without enough snow they fixed it to be like new again and even gave me a tour and some free swag. Basically they build an awesome product then stand behind it 100%.
