Never Summer designed the Revolver Wide Snowboard for ADD freestyle shredders with big feet. If you're the type who has trouble deciding between park runs and stash laps, the Revolver will take you anywhere you want to go without letting your behemoth boots drag in the snow. The hybrid-camber RC shape offers the best of both worlds for a poppy yet forgiving feel that won't sacrifice precise control at high speed.
RC (Rocker & Camber) hybrid shape puts rocker between your feet with camber just outside binding zones to combine catch-free landings, pow float, and edge grip
Carbon VXR Laminate uses strategic carbon Vs in the nose/tail to maximize edge control and pop without sacrificing an overall forgiving feel
Press Flex core allows independent foot control for maxed-out presses and ollies
EDS Dampening System takes the bite out of harsh landings without adding unnecessary weight
I currently own a Gnu Carbon Credit 2010 and Lib Tech skate banana 2010 and a few old Capita boards, however this is the best board i've ever ridden. I freaking love, I demo'd it and then decided to buy it. The board has this catch free feeling which makes it a joy to ride and its so easy to press boxes and such yet it is so so so stable at high speeds. The rocker and reverse camber is awesome, I cant even explain it. I love my Mervin boards and if you cant get a Never Summer get a lib tech or Gnu however, The Never summer board is my favorite board and I will always go back to them. Just because not a ton of people know about them and because they are a smaller company doesn't mean they don't make good stuff. Go out and ride one because nothing can compare.
Both are going to be great for the park and mixed runs. The largest difference in the boards is that the park pickle has a deeper heel side cut. The thought process is that your toes and heels are not the same and you put more pressure on your heel. By having the deeper side cut on your heel edge it will help you boost off jumps and give you more control when spinning off that heel side. EX: doing front side spins off of a kicker.

Im 5'10, 190 lbs and rock a size 11 boot. I went with the 153 because I really wanted a small board to play around with. What I got with this board is way more then I was expecting. The hybrid camber/rocker tech is incredible. Jibs and presses are super easy with the flex on this board. You can bomb groomers without any edge chattering on you. I was expecting to lose one at high speed, but it never happened on my first day of riding. I didn't get a chance to really test it on some big jumps, so I will replay back later in the season. Def get this board and I promise you will not be disappointed.
Im 5'11 165lbs. Size 12 feet.Should I go with the 153 or 156, dont want to get heel/toe drag. I do 50/50-park/groomers. Im in love with this board. Thanks
The width should be the same regardless of the length. I rode the 156 Last year and loved it, it was good in the park and great on those powder days as well as being super stable. This year I am going with the 153, I ride roughly 75% park, thats why I am going with something a little smaller. Both boards regardless of the size I am sure you will love.
So far so good. This board is sick, badass graphics and really light combined with Rome 390 Boss's. More to come in the next month...Still waiting on snow here in Japan.
I'm 6'5", 220lbs and this board is amazing! My previous board is a Lib Tech Dark Series which was an amazing board that had crazy speed, loads of pop and ridiculous turn initiation and hold. I really wasn't expecting much out of this board and just wanted an all around board that was more on the park side. Well this board blows my Lib Tech out of the water.Took it to Winter Park for four days and when I realized that it was better than my Dark Series at everything I ended up using it the entire time and not even pulling my Lib Tech out. I took it from the top of the bowl, through the trees and powder to the icy groomers and down to laps in the park. What I like the most about the Revolver is that it's an amazing park board with great pop and flex that somehow manages to be an amazing board for speed and powder. It doesn't make sense! Oh, and it's ridiculously durable compared to all my previous boards. Never Summer boards really are the sh*t!
Just picked this board up and didn't know how I was gonna feel about the reverse camber. This board has both great flex for butters and presses, and still carves like my regular camber magnetraction. I'll buy Never Summers for life. Great build guys....great build. Mad props to Dogfunk too for carrying a hard to find product for us east coasters, and making a great shopping experience.
