This is a cotton jacket, so it will have extremely minimal water resistance. Its definitely designed to be worn in non-precipitating conditions. Light snow might be ok, but you'd be pushing its construction for anything more substantial.

It's thick enough to keep you warm, but it doesn't look bulky. It's a great fit and I've gotten many compliments on it. Many pockets/compartments. Very much worth the price!
