lycra vs. elastane

The crush jeans that have lycra instead of elastane fit SMALL.
I normally wear a 28, and any nikita jeans that are made of 98% cotton and 2% elastane fit perfect. BUT if the jeans are made of 98% cotton and 2% lycra they fit really small. 2 sizes.

It's difficult to tell how flattering the fit of these jeans are on the website. They look like they might be bit boyish, but they aren't at all. I have these in 3 different washes and all go great with heels, boots, flats or skate shoes.
