Nitro updated its Reverb TLS Men's Snowboard Boot with a new all-EVA outsole, so the boot is even lighter, warmer, and cushier than ever. This might beat out the improved quick-lace TLS dual-zone lacing system―which is now smoother, more effective, and more reliable than ever―as the best new feature on this all-around stomper. We couldn't decide, so you just might need to take the Reverb out for a tour of your favorite mountain hot spots, maybe hit a few rails and a backwoods kicker, to make up your mind.

  • Dual TLS system lets you fine-tune the fit on the upper and lower areas of the boot
  • Type 1 liner is fashioned from pre-molded EVA for ideal fit right out of the box
  • Flex Toe in the liner expands for a custom toe box fit
  • Rubber Impact Panel provides protection in high-impact zones

Nitro Reverb

I got these as a gift a few days ago. Im a total noob when it comes to snowboarding and these will be my first pair of boots other than the rental ones they give you on the mountain. That being said i was shopping purely with price and value in mind. I did TONS of research and these boots seemed to fit my needs. first off the lacing system. Its a perfect mix of traditional lace and what i imagine a BOA system might be like. very simple to use. the insole in comfy and warm and has a similar lacing system. Simply pull on the harness with one hand and it tightens as much as you like. On the outer boot there are 2 lacing zones (bottom and top) and the same concept applies. Pull up to tighten then tuck the harnesses away in the convenient pockets on the boot on each side and strap into your board and go.

Im a size 10 US and have a bit of a wide foot. That being said the boots were a little snug at the toes but im sure i just need to spend a little while breaking them in and not lacing them up so tight.

These babies are warm as heck! In just a few minutes of wearing them around the house (look mom... new boots!) my feet were sweating. There should be no issues with insulation and warmth here. Mind you i havent been in any snow but they seem to be able to do the job. The treds are nice and the overall construction of the boot is pretty sturdy (not much give at all). I cant wait to hit the slopes in these.

Edit: On second review the boots seem a little snug. As stated above i am a 10US Mens Shoe size however i will be returning these for a size 10.5 to see if they fit a little better in the front toe area.

Definitely a great park boot but will handle the rest of the mountain with ease when you want to get out of the park.

I'm a size 12 boot and currently have a Skate Banana 154 reg, can you recommend boots similar to Reverb that also has a low volume? thanks!

Fit really is the biggest thing with your boots so I'm gonna recommend three boots that are similar in fit, but not quite the same in features. Although they do all have a speed lace system and are a mid-soft flex. Check out the Northwave Snow Freedom SL, Salomon Dialogue, and Salomon F20. My foot is a 12, low volume and high arch so finding the right boot has been hard, however, I rock the F20's for everything from park to powder and they have been my best solution so far.

Off Brand?

So we have been thru 2 pair of DC boots and one pair of Nitro's. for our son who rides about 4 days a week. As for the DC boot one broke the integral lace system and one just did not fit right (model=scout) The DC scout with boa system was too tight at the calf leaving the toes loose, not great. The other DC boot with broken laces were great and they sent me a new lace pack for them. Just to let you guys know you can relace them and it took me about 2hours on one boot not great. That brings us to the Nitro with two zones to tighten it hold the toes and keeps the calf inline.

The only speed lace system I like

I have never been a fan of speed lace, not knocking it just not for me.....that is until I tried the TLS. This stuff works and is so personalizable (thats not a word but I dont care.) I have always been one to get weird with my lacing, and this still allows me to do it. The new EVA sole is wicked light too.
