thats all the really needs to be said besides it takes a min to figure out the best and fastest way to lace but other wise their the best boots i've ever owned!!!
first night out, right out of the box
got to ride these tonight after receiving them yesterday. super cushy, great padding around Achilles tendon, lacing took a minute to get but it doesn't loosen up when your riding. air bag is great for padding on those sketchy landings. nice medium to medium-stiff flex all around. gotta adjust some of my tweaks. couldn't get those rocket airs tonight but got my tail blocks dialed. try them on in a shop before you buy to see if they are for you. id recommend though.
Very good boot for narrow feet
I would disagree with the previous review in that these Nitro boots are particularly good for someone with narrow ankles and from to heel lift. If you feel the liner inside, there is a tremendous amount of contour in the back above the heel and below the calf, like adding 2-3 layers of foam wrap at the boot fitter. In search of eliminating heel lift, I have owned several pairs of boots. From DC Shoes Radians (too wide), to Salomon Dialogue (better), Synapse (ok), Malamute (good), ThirtyTwo Forecast (good), to the Nitro TLS (best). Since I've owned several Salomon boots, the TLS system is very similar, I do like that it tightens the top and bottom separately, I like to keep the lower laces loose and the upper laces tight. I can definitely tighten up the upper laces (really stiffens up the boot). Boot is good and stiff (not quite as stiff as the Malamutes, but good for freeriding or all mtn freestyle).
Good fit, great feel
The Team TLS is a great boot. I have been riding for about 10 years and was looking to step it up to a boot for more advanced technical freestyle riding. The Team TLS answered that call. When fully tightened the boot is quite stiff, a negative for some, but feels great. If you're looking for a boot to jib in, the Team TLS is proably not the best choice. I still use them on rails, I simply ride the boot a little looser. The TLS lacing system, while a bit confusing out of the box, is easy to get used to and I have found that it is much more versatile in delivering the desired fit you require (as opposed to standard laces). The only negatives are that the Team TLS is very stiff and the lacing system can be difficult for some. Overall the Nitro Team TLS boot is an excellent choice.
They look as good in real life as they do in the pic, the lacing system is a bit tricky tho and I've had boa system in the past and much preferred it. They're defiantly the best lookin boots I've ever seen tho.
2007 Nitro Team TLS Snowboard Boots
I was really looking forward to these boots, but when I tried them on I was disappointed. I personally do not like the TLS lacing system after trying it out. You have to pull on the small handles VERY hard to get the boots tight enough and even then, the bottom end of the laces in not very tight at all. My heel also lifts up out of the boot very easily. It may just be that I have small feet. The Flex is great and the lacing system is a good idea, but it just doesn't work for me...
