Nixon designed the Men’s 51-30 Chrono Watch to withstand serious punishment and all your aquatic adventures. This watch boasts a 300-meter waterproof rating for ultimate precision under pressure. It also has a one tenth of a second subdial chrono. Nixon gave the 51-30 Chrono Watch a brushed stainless steel band and double locking clasp for durable good looks. The 51-30 has a 6 hand Japanese quartz movement and the case is a custom 300 meter stainless steel with hardened mineral crystal, external rotating bezel with a countdown timer and 9:00 o’clock crown position.
Bottom Line: Go deep with the Nixon 51-30 Chrono Watch.
White and gold looks freaking sick. Live rockin it every chance I get from dressed up and junk to just with a Tshirt. It's so awesome. Little heavy but not bad at all!
This watch is absolutely amazing in person, i get compliments on it almost every day. it seems that the Matte Black/Matte Gunmetal is pretty hard to find. I wish i could have ordered it from dogfunk!
i thought id add to my upload for any prospective buyers, the gunmetal on the watch after a week has already started to rub off on a spot where i rest my wrist on my desk. Im returning it today, and i just placed an order with dogfunk for a silver one with a black face. The colored finishes look awesome, but i want something that i can wear daily without looking like crap in 6 months.
Dogfunk.com knows that no one wants the used-car-salesman experience, so we decided to show you the other guys prices in an effort to keep your shopping experience as informed as possible. We do our best to confirm this information is correct, but assume no responsibility for the accuracy of the price and shipping information provided by other vendors.
the numbers on the outside are used with diving watches to time dives (or whatever you want) say i said id meet you somewhere in 15 minutes, you set there arrow to the minute hand and you can then see how much time has passed since you set it without having to remember what time you set it.
Copped an all-black 51-30 chrono for 250$, I am in love with this watch, I've only worn it on a few occasion but I want to wear it every minute of the day, I recommend this watch to anyone willing to spend the cash
This things gotten a lota compliments since i got it. Its oversized and huge and yes a little heavy but thats the point of it, its purely for steeze but still can be used for everyday stuff , even swimming.
It's a straight vegas watch. Dont doubt it u wont regret it. It'll pull fasho.

Yo Howie, The "Gunship" colorway definitely has a blueish hue to it, though the watch itself isn't blue. The pictures above are actually pretty accurate, as far as what you can expect from that color.
The 5130 is the Porsche 911 of the Nixon line. It may not be the most expensive, but its fast as hell and people are going to do a double take on you. Back in the day I used to have a watch for everyday of the week. But the 5130 Chrono has been on my wrist for the past 542 days straight. Its ill, its heavy, and it goes with everything. Every outfit, and every situation, watch just screams F@$k off. Even if you arent using this thing to its full potential, it works great as a simple "Keeper of the Time". I would recommend this watch to anyone looking for something a tad bit larger and a timeless feel. Always my go to, no matter what day of the week.
And to answer the below question about this being a "Genuine 5130", there is no such thing as a Black Market Nixon. If it says Nixon, its as real deal as it gets.
Write your question here...This particular NIXON has me concerned - I only see two buttons on the right side rather than three as shown in all of the other Chronographs. I like the black face white hands black case black bracelet set up BUT am wondering about the functions - my current collection of Chrono's all have a reset button, a start stop button and a watch set / wind stem but this image is different. Info / explanation will be appreciated.
While I'm not totally sure on the origin of that photograph, even the older Nixon chronos should still have three buttons - the top being the reset. Order with confidence, and if you're not totally stoked on what you receive, you can always return it for a full refund. DF has your back!
I LOVE THE WATCH!!!!!!! yes the paint does chip and wear down but then its 100% my watch and worn the way i want to the chips have only accured when drunk in doing dumb sh@t while drunk as you doing having good times yes its heavy but you used to it and the watch is a statement it says i was cool enough to buy it and i feel even cooler wearing it !!! i give it 5 stars
i specifically use my rubber player for drunk nights, the glass is chipped off in one corner and you can only tell time from 6-12 fell way to many times
Matte Gunship colorway, like the Nixon "Drab" finish, is also designed to naturally chip, scratch, and wear down, for an eventual 'vintage' look, unique to the wearer.
Actually, the knobs are on the left because this is a true, dive/surf-style watch. And when you're wearing a wetsuit, rather than run the risk of the neoprene bunching up on certain wrist movements and accidentally twisting the crown knob (exposing the inner guts of the watch to seawater), or inadvertently stopping the chrono (very bad if you're measuring ascent time, or time underwater), everything is on the left side of the watch. Harder to set, but much safer to use while diving or surfing in the long run.
I have a few Nixon watches. I will never buy one again. My strap broke, (no big deal, Im tough on stuff). Nixon would not send me another, ok, I had to send my watch back to nixon for them to replace the strap. They would not give me a process order until I paid for the "repair". Ok, they charged my card for the repair, emailed me the process order number for my watch, I packed it up and mailed it. They recieved the watch, and for a month now (only with me following up with multiple emails and calls) they tell me that my watch is "in line for repair". I was told 7-10 days max for the repair. As of this date, They still say my watch is in line for repair, they will not even tell me when they think that the watch will be repaired, much less back to me.
If you are thinking about buying one, just know that you will recieve the worst (if any) customer service. I honestly don't know how they are still in buisness.
I'm thinking about buying this in stainless/black.
Will there be any problems shipping to Stockholm, Sweden? I'm thinking like a lot of duty tax (can you ship it as a gift?) and stuff like that. The watch costs equivalent to 840$ in Sweden which is just ridiculous so I would really like to buy it from you guys.
Damn it, I got my answer a bit further down the page...with "right now" do you mean that you used to be able to ship outside the US? Why can't you do it at the moment? As I mentioned earlier the prices on this watch in Sweden are just silly, more than twice of what it is in the US, so any help regarding getting this from somewhere else is appreciated.
Before you take the plunge on a time teller that doesn't come with a matching collector's cup in a value meal, there are a few things you should know about the 51-30 Chrono. Specifically, how it only has Japanese movement, does not have a scratch-proof sapphire crystal, and is not Swiss made, despite the price tag. To watch wieners, the 51-30 is neither elegant like a Tissot, or classy like a Tag. But like the USS Facepunch at a sailboat regatta, this battleship of a timepiece demands attention, and does more than splash big, and crush a few floating oyster bars.
The 51-30 is everything its aforementioned counterparts are not; rugged, chunky, and bold, and will hold its own from the dancefloor to the ocean floor (more practically on the latter). In addition to its recommended use as a diving, surfing, and "casual" watch, I was thrilled to find the 51-30 also excels at these other riveting extracurricular exploits: - torpedoing haters - silencing timepiece snobs - counting down to the next ass-whooping - pimp-slapping endangered aquatic species The most difficult thing about this watch isn't holding it up, or exercising great care not to accidentally crack skulls (including your own) from its heft, but deciding between a bevy of colorway and band options. Choose wisely.
* watch body is already mad heavy, steel band option makes it even heavier * chrono/luminescence features are functional, but rudimentary at best * true, dive-watch style bezel counts down, not up * 51mm across, 300m down - get it?
Just got this watch and i have to say its F*#king big and it has the baller status of a tnf1556 jacket but as far as a great everyday its the best im glad i went with the stainless steel band B/C ive heard that the weight of the watch with leather band gets tore up super quick so save your money and go with the steel(you'll thank me later). As far as looks its a little over the top but if you are going to spend this much money on a watch you mine as well go all out and after wearing it for a few weeks you wont want to take it off its good for everyday use so if you're in the market for a watch as big as a babies head this is the way to go.
Well, as most shoppers we like to see the item in hand and on the wrist. After checking out the 51-30 all in black at my local surf shop I was very disappointed. This Nixon has dark gray hands on a black face making it very difficult to see the time?? Hmmm, I guess I'll have to buy a white faced 51-30 for my right wrist so I'm not late to catch the next wave!!!
I'm glad you pointed that out. I was leaning towards the all black, but will avoid now that I took a closer look and realize the hands are the same colour as the back making it hard to read.
