The Channel T is a finely tuned tide watch.

Tune into the Swiss-made Nixon Channel T Watch and get insider info on the surf conditions. This easy-to-read analog watch displays the tide, moon phase, and a second subdial with tidal range. You can quickly adjust the tide and moon phase with the easily accessible buttons. The 100m waterproof stainless steel case encompasses an internal rotating bezel with a countdown timer. Can I get the measurements from anyone?...

Can I get the measurements from anyone? I'd better specify, and ask for the watch measurements only! Ya know... width without crown, width with crown, case thickness & sh*t most people look for when buying a watch.!?

This watch is great! I've had it for two years and and really put it through its paces in the surf and under it (a lot of spearfishing and diving) and it works as well as the day I took it out of the box. I loved it so much I bought my dad one only a week after mine arrived. He is on the water all the time and loves the easily adjustable tide setting when traveling. But he also pointed out something I didn't notice right off, this watch looks F$#@in tight!!! And its not just him and I that thinks so. I got ladies at the bar and in line at the grocery store grabbing my wrist to get a better look at this beauty. Pops put it best after he'd been wearing the watch around a couple weeks, "Picking up women couldn't be easier, this piece is better than carrying around a puppy"

Does the watch have a lighted dial?

The only information I was able to find is that the hands are luminescent. The users manual to this watch does not indicate a light feature.

The hands glow in the dark, I have had my Channel T watch for about 2 years now and they still are super bright at night

Hi, I have a Nixon Channel T watch, I've had it for a few years now. I'm currently living somewhere else and I can't seem to set the tide, moon phase to suit. When I looked on the Nixon site, it told me to push the tide button in for 3sec, wait for a beep, than press again to adjust, and so on. Nothing seems to be working, is there maybe a factory reset you can do? Please someone help........

cool looking, comfortable to wear, nice features.... if you are younger than 45.....
i found myself having to put on my reading glasses to see all that coolness; not very practical so i returned it.
i was very happy with customer service both coming and going.

Curtis,
A quote from Nixon's website: "Watches need to be sent in to the Nixon Service Center for band replacement."
The link for service is here: http://www.nixonnow.com/repair-center/
I hope this helps!

I've had mine for almosta year and a half. It's solidly built and has performed great. I broke the strap keeper, and Nizion sent me a replacement for minimal cost. They also have spare bands available, but you need to sent the watch in to have them service it.

I should have this thing for years and years

The Gunmetal looks way better in person. The watch is very classy looking and the information this watch dishes out is excellent. This watch is very comfortable to wear. I would highly recommend it.

Does anyone know if the crown is supposed to screw into place when pushed all the way in to the number 1 position? Basically, when pushed all the way in, the crown still rotates. Any help would be appreciated.

Basically, this watch (I just bought one for myself a few days ago, does that same thing. The crown does not lock down tight. Instead, it is a double gasket crown meaning it just needs to pushed in all the way to be sealed. I have 5 other Nixon Scout watches and they work the in the same fashion.

So, keep your worries down to a minimum of say none, man. Except of course making sure the crown is pressed in all way before plunging into the water.

Nixon is really good about that stuff and usually will fix or replace it for free. Just give them a call at (888) 455-9200

Awesome Watch. Fits great, I'll say that in response to Brian P's comment about not being able to change the date: pull all the way out to change time, once set, push in one click to change date.
It keeps excellent time and the tide and moon phase is really a conversation starter. Everybody asks to see this thing when they catch a glimpse of it on my wrist. Also, the band is great, the contour is excellent.

Love the watch, feels really solid and heavy and a perfect fit for any wrist size. Only problem is I can't scroll to change the date, and have to change the time 24 hours ahead to change the date. Not a big enough deal to send back though. Everything else works perfectly and I've never seen anyone else with one yet!

This is a great watch if you need to know the tide or the moon info. It has a very nice rubber band with an excellent retaining strap for the tail. I've had no issues with it since I bought it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a watch with tide and moon phase info easily read on it's face. It seems to be keeping good time, and the tide is as accurate as I've set it.
