Pimpery pays in so many ways.
Nixon gave the Men’s Platform Watch an oversized face and big, blocky architecture so the ladies would see you coming a mile away. The clean, classy chunk of check-me-out glittering on your wrist says it all—you don’t need to say a word. It’s a good thing, too—your mouth could only screw up a perfect situation.

- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I've had this watch for well over two years now. I wear it constantly , I've worn it working in the machine shop slamming it off metal, at the beach covered in sand and salt, the frozen mountain and in the hot tub late night. This thing is what you need in a watch. I have the matte black/gold its all scuffed up and dented, the plating is fading but it only gives it serious character. If you're looking for a single watch to wear whenever for life, this is the one
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
The Platform is my new favorite watch, excellent styling comfortable fit for a larger faced watch. I like it so much I bought one for my brother for graduation. The clasp is nice and smooth the illumination is an excellent touch and the face resembles that of a watch twice the price. You gotta see this one in person to truly appreciate it.
Nixon Platform Watch - Men's

I call my all black Nixon the batman watch!
The all black platform watch is such a cool looking watch. It has a big face with a 22mm wide band. The watch is thin so there is no worries for people who wears a lot of long sleeve shirts. Whats awesome about this model is that it has an EL feature so no worries about checking the time at night. I was worried about the PVD coating coming off but so far no sign off the PVD coat coming off the watch.
Would highly recommend this watch for it's cool design and durability.
First of many
Recently snagged this watch in the Drab color on Whiskey Militia for a killer price and am convinced it is going to be the first of many Nixon watches. Build quality seems great and the watch has some noticeable 'heft' to it but doesn't feel at all heavy when on your wrist.
Have always owned either black or silver watches -- was a bit hesitant about the drab color scheme, but it looks great in person. Will pair easily w/ any outfit.
As already mentioned, the hour markings are a polished stainless steel (at least on the Drab model) and just enough to catch your eye without being obnoxious.
The only minor gripe I have is with the backlight. A bit weak in illumination compared to other watches I own, and only the center lights up (not the hour markings). Then again, anyone over the age of 10 should be able to tell the time w/o using hour markings. Regardless, it's an amazing watch and would recommend it to anyone.
And for anyone wondering... the watch comes with 2 additional links and pins. While they recommend having a dealer size it for you, the pins can easily be punched out. Use a small deadblow hammer/punch and punch the pin out OPPOSITE from the side with the slot (looks almost like a small flathead screw)
Nixon Platform (Drab)
Do all versions/colors do the drab color...
Do all versions/colors do the drab color change??
Nope, only the Drab, and the Gunboat colorways had that feature.
KILLER. I love this watch! Got the Drab colorway because I was really intrigued by the coating and wear factor. The process has started and it's looks sick. Seriously, this is a must have.
Don't fight it, just buy it!
I searched for months to find the right watch, had it narrowed to the District and the Quattro. Then, the sexy Platform came into my life and I've never been the same.
Love the oversized face; it's big but not "I'm compensating for something" kinda big.
Love the detail on the face; the hour marks stand out from the face and the hands are set down in the face. The detail around the dial catches the light and is stylin'.
Diggin the 'Indiglo' or night light or whatever you want to call it. The back light feature is a nice bonus.
In short, big face, eye catcher, lady stopper, sexy beast time teller.
How come the drab colour on here looks...
How come the drab colour on here looks like army green? On the nixon website it looks more dark bluish grey (the colour I'd much rather have).
Drab is a dark Olive color.
Dang that thing's siiick
...is designed to "age" with the wearer, creating a very cool, singularly unique piece. Badass.

super fly. the marks for each hour have a reflective touch to them that adds to the steez. band scatches somewhat easily which is my only complaint. if you're looking for simple design, something water proof and you just want the time, this is a great choice.
